I just received this today for my 55 pound dog. She loves it!! I didn't think that she would even like the idea of sleeping on this, because she is an outside dog but since the temperatures are cold at night, I bring her in and put her in her crate for the night. She was sleeping with some sheets I no longer use and was just fine with them. But, I felt like I wanted to give her something special, her own comfy bed that fits perfectly into her crate. She is definitely enjoying her new bed tonight. What I love most about this dog bed or can be used for any fur babies, is that it zips halfway down the side and up top so you can put the foam insert in and I will say it was a little difficult to get it in there, but I had help so not really a issue lol It is very high quality, And I don't worry that she will be scratching through this or ripping it with her nails, as it feels thick enough on the inside and outside. I also love that it has two sides on the zipper cover, one is a fuzzy side like a velvety feel to the touch to keep her warm and just feel calm, and in the summer months when it gets too hot outside, I let her in to cool off a little bit because she does not like getting in water whatsoever, so the other side is a leather type finish feel but cooling. The cover is also washable and it did not have a smell to it when I bought it, so I just put it on there first thing. I probably should have washed it first but I was excited for her to try it out... 🤷‍♀️ The dog crate that she is in is a 46" x 28" , so I was afraid that it might not fit in there but it completely covers the entire bottom of the crate so she can't move it around or dig at it from the side really so that's a plus as well. I could have downsized to the next size down for her size, but I did get the XXL just because it was just a few inches off and I thought well if it doesn't fit ,then I will return it and get the next size down but I'm glad that I got this It doesn't bundle up on the side of the crate or anything like that, due to it being a little bigger. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting all the benefits and comfort I feel, that it has all together, for their dog or other animal's. Since she has been laying on it for quite a while now, And of course it's too early to tell, but I don't see any issues of it causing any shape issues. I usually don't post reviews because, I usually don't have the time but I feel like from all the positive reviews that I read on here, I wanted to do a review for others and maybe looking for a good high quality bed for their dogs. I looked at a lot of different places for washable high quality comfort beds for my dog for a good price and I was torn between this one and another one but I'm glad that I got this one and wouldn't second guess it. I’ve been wanting to get my boy a dog bed for a while but i knew bigger dogs beds were pricey. He sleeps with me anyway so i didn’t wanna waste money on a dog bed that he doesn’t use. Since he’s a bed hogger i sprawl out and he goes and lies on the floor next to me, so i decided to look. I’m glad i picked this one! It is super comfy and great quality foam! My brother even fell asleep on it as shown in the picture lol. I wanted an affordable but good quality thick dog bed. My bed has memory foam so i think that’s why he favors my bed out of everyone else in my house besides the fact he’s attached to my hip. I found this one and people said it was true to what is shown and described. Some beds looked thick but once reading the reviews and seeing pictures they weren’t. The hardest part was deciding what size to get him. He’s an 100 lb rottie. I measured him when he was laying on the couch and i got 31”. He was curled up though so i ended up getting a size too small. He makes it work though! When i first unpacked it i was a little nervous cause the foam had a thick bump from where it was bent in the packaging. It did fix itself though. I love how it has the two different sides. The soft side is a nice quality and the water proof side did feel pretty cooling for the summer, which he struggles with due to his thick black coat. At first look when trying to get him to try it out he smelled it and layed right beside it😂 typical rottie behavior. But that night he did some more exploring and laid on it. I think he just needed his special blanket on it. I recommend getting one for your fur baby, just get the right size! It’s affordable and well made! This crate pad is very nice and sturdy. well constructed. the canvas like material is more like a vinyl coated canvas …. Great for wiping off and it comes off the egg crate foam very easily for washing if nequired. My pups seem to be comfortable on it but I did buy a material cover for it … like a fitted sheet cover so they don’t feel over heated on the vinyl canvas . The media could not be loaded. I'll start by saying I completely bought the wrong size. That being said, my dog loves this bed so much, and hilariously uses the extra pad as a pillow or leaning spot. It came fast in a surprisingly small box for how big it is! Obviously it was vacuum packed. After pulling it out, there is that moment where you hold your breath, cut open the package and jump back hoping it doesn't unroll violently haha. It didn't. It enrolled easily and puffed up pretty quickly. I appreciated there was no smell, that's always hit or miss. The zipper is really good quality, and is ridiculously sturdy because the cover gave me a run for my money getting it on! After gymnastics and a lot of sassing, it was on and a snug perfect fit. The fabric side is so soft and almost buttery. We've been exclusively using the smooth side though. Between rain and mud/dirt, I love that it's not absorbing everything so the inside isn't turning into mushy gross foam. So far cleaning has been me crawling in and just wiping it down - so easy! Our guy is a big 2 year old puppy and he loves his bed so much this is the first bed that hasn't been chewed on. He sometimes gets fitsy during "housetime" but we haven't had any punctures either. Awesome dog beds. I laid on one just for kicks and it felt great on my back lol. We have a German Shepherd and a Rottweiler/Retriever mix. They are both large dogs and these were the perfect size. Happy with our purchase for sure. Read more
