Wahl makes the best clippers and trimmers out there, in my humble opinion, and this personal groomer for unsightly nose and ear hair is no exception. My last Wahl personal groomer for men lived in the shower, where I prefer to shave and trim, (so will this one), and it lasted 20+ years. Not many companies still take pride in making quality products, but I feel that Wahl truly does. No, I didn’t get paid to write this, and the review really is from the heart. If you have sadly reached that age where you need a personal groomer, you just can’t go wrong with Wahl. This particular personal groomer is very functional, fast, easy and safe to use. It is just large enough to be held comfortably, but small enough to hide in my shower corner. One of the best features is that it’s practically waterproof. I have never tried drowning it in a bucket, but as I stated above it, lives in my shower and rinses clean with ease. No oiling, no brushes, LONG battery life (we are talking 1+ years). My old Wald was starting to pull my nose hair, which started to delay trimmings. Hey no complaints, it lasted 10 years! This new old was cheaper, does not have multiple heads or a case, but it cuts great! Quick, no pulling, and fast. Like all Wahl products, they seem to be of great quality, price is competitive, and you get a premium product in my opinion Wahl and 3M are two of the great companies that still supply great old quality products. I purchased this product after buying a man scape product. This product is a five-star product as opposed to the other product, which was a one star product. I waited like a little kid to actually get this from Amazon today and as soon as I opened up the package and tried out the unit it was like all those wahl products they just work wonderfully. No matter what kind of hair you’re cutting wahl has a cutter for you. I’ll tell you we do my dogs hair with their cutters we do nail trimming with their trimmers and now I have a personal groomer and man did that thing work awesome I recommend this day anyone Read more

Bought this for gift. Bf uses it about once a week or maybe every week and half. I gave it to him in December 2017 and this week (mid-August 2018) it is dead. He changed the battery to see if it was that. Still doesn't work. Looks like there is a warranty period for this so I'm going to try that. The warranty terms on the Wahl site shows that you have to pay the postage to get it to them, so that sucks considering it was $18 and shipping will probably be about $5 or so. Maybe the manufacturer banks on the fact most people won't bother to send in a $18 purchase for warranty if you have to pay to send it in? Who knows.
