This is about as basic as it gets for a pull up bar, but as long as you can find a good spot in your house for it, it's great! You do have to drill it into the wall which isn't always ideal, but personally I prefer this to those pressure mounted ones that can crack your walls. This obviously requires some effort to install, unlike the pressure mounted ones, but once it's up, it's up. This does make it more of a permanent option however, it will be easy to remove from the wall but you will have some holes to patch should you decide to take it down. When using it, it is very easy to grip and doesn't feel like you are going to slip off even though it is only metal. Overall this is a very basic pull up bar but functions just as a pull up bar should! Read more
I am reviewing B0FQN1BQKT "ANOSWXG Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar, 500LBS Heavy Duty Wall & Door Frame Pull Up Bar for Home Gym, Professional Drill-Required Chin Up Bar for Secure Pullups Training | Pull-Up Bars for Men". This seems like an ok bar, but my first issue is that the title and description both say it holds up to 500 lbs, the Product Details say 450, however the instructions that come with it say not to exceed max load of 300 lbs. Next, the title inaccurately specifies "for men" when the product is perfectly suitable for anyone. The bar itself feels sturdy and the coating has a slight gritty texture for easier hold. It comes with heavy-duty hardware including carabiners Read more
This pull up bar is solid and heavy duty! Upon first inspection, the metal feels solid and the welds look decent. They provide a level, 2 different bolts 5 count each, 5 washers,2 heavy duty caribeaners, and instructions. The base plate for the bar is about 1/4 inch. It is very thick and sturdy and there shouldn't be any issues with use. There is no grip on these bars. It would have been a nice thing to add onto this product. The metal itself is not smooth but doesnt feel the most secure fitting in my hand. We plan on putting this up at our warehouse. Installing any pull up bar means finding solid and sturdy installation points otherwise you can count on accidents happening. You will need a drill bit to install this. The value for the money you spend on this pull up bar is about right on par for the thickness and sturdiness of it item. I would have just liked to see a better grip, thats all. Read more

This pull-up bar is extremely sturdy and feels very secure once installed. The materials are solid and heavy-duty, and installation was straightforward as long as you properly locate and mount it into studs. Once mounted, it feels stable and safe to use. One important thing to note: the product listing states a 450 lb maximum weight, but the packaging included in the box lists a 300 lb maximum weight. That discrepancy is worth being aware of before purchasing. Overall, it’s a very well-made bar and works great for home pull-up training, just make sure it’s installed into studs and keep the weight rating difference in mind. ✅ Pros Extremely sturdy, solid construction Feels very secure once installed Easy installation if studs are properly located High-quality materials Great for a home gym setup ❌ Cons THese arent really CONS but just things to note and be aware of Weight capacity listed on the product page differs from the packaging Requires drilling and stud mounting (not renter-friendly) Read more
If you’re tired of playing “Russian Roulette” with those flimsy friction-mount door bars that inevitably send you crashing to the floor mid-rep, this drill-mounted beast is your salvation. Installing it requires a level of commitment usually reserved for marriage or tattoos—you are drilling deep into studs, folks—but the peace of mind is worth the drywall dust. Once it’s up, it feels less like a piece of home gym equipment and more like a permanent architectural feature; I’m pretty sure I could hang a small car from this thing, though my current limit is roughly three struggling pull-ups and a heavy sigh. Using this bar is a humbling experience that reminds you gravity is not just a theory, but a personal enemy. The grip is aggressive enough to keep you holding on but won't shred your hands like a cheese grater, and because it’s mounted high and away from the door frame, you don’t have to awkwardly bend your knees like a crouching gargoyle just to clear the floor. It’s solid, it’s painful in all the right ways, and it stares at me judgingly from the wall every time I walk past it with a snack. I recommend this product. Read more
