This weighted vest has been a great addition to my runs. I went with the 10 lb option, and the weight feels really well balanced thanks to the “X” pattern design. It does a great job evenly distributing the weight, so it doesn’t feel awkward or throw off my stride while running. The pink color is fun without being over the top, and the reflective siding is a really nice bonus—especially for early morning or evening runs. It also came with a phone pouch that you can strap to your arm! Overall, it feels well made, comfortable, and practical for adding a little extra challenge to workouts. Definitely happy with this choice. Read more
I guess I have been part of the mid-life folks that strap on weighted vests and eat sourdough bread but now I am influencing my daughter as she wanted a weighted vest to start going with me on my long walks. The size was just right for her and easily adjustable. The weight was exactly what she wanted and this one differs a bit from mine and she found it to be very comfortable and not as bulky as mine. It was also easy to wash making the sweaty smell that mine has non-existent. All in all she found it to be just right for her and it was easily adjustable in many ways. A great vest to get out and walk with all of the other 40 somethings! Read more
Have to say that I'm a little bit disappointed in the ease of use for this, but that's coming particularly from someone with some mobility issues in the shoulder at this time. Trying to get the buckles on the sides is a rough process. I can't reach around to grab them. I tried dangling them longer and farther and swinging them using my body, but to no avail. It's a bit silly of an issue, and is definitely a user issue, but at the same time, it's frustrating that the buckles are where they are in this instance when the vest is so short. Maybe it's just me, and I can accept that, but I'm sad, to be sure. The weight is certainly there - I got a 12 lb vest, and it actually seems a bit heavier, to be honest. The scale even said so after the fact, so that's interesting. Not bad, not good - just notable. There are no clear instructions otherwise, but it's not like it's rocket science here, to be fair. The arm pouch it comes with for carrying some items like your phone/wallet/keys is fine, too. Nothing too special, but ultimately, as someone who's currently on the larger side and trying to lose some inches, this case didn't fit around my upper arm, so I can't even use that. Again, that one's a user issue, however, it's a really bummer that even this wasn't made too inclusively in regards to sizing. So in the mean time, I'm just wearing this vest while doing tasks around the home. It's crazy how heavy a mere 12 lbs feels, and makes me hopeful about how much better my life will be when I simply feel better having dropped some of those lbs, but I'm bummed to say that at this time, this vest isn't too much good for me for my runs. At least not unless I Elastigirl my arms around to be able to reach the buckles. Read more
I ordered this weight vest [12lbs] to use while performing sit-ups, curls and lite use on a treadmill. I’m approximately 6’0 and weight about 185 lbs with a bust size of 36C. My vest order includes the weighted 12 lbs vest, instructions and arm attachment to store your phone, keys or other personal items. The vest is weighted with iron sand and the vest outer material is comprised of a very comfortable mercerize cotton which offers comfort during wearing and physical conditioning. The straps are very short in length and even though I expanded the straps to the maximum length; the side straps closure was still a little difficult to secure. The other challenge is my bust size and how this vest designed. The vest appears best wore my men with a small to medium chest span; however these dimensions do not really work well for neither men nor woman with broader shoulders or larger or expanded breast sizes. Although my dimensions do include fairly broad shoulders [slender] and medium breast size I was ultimately able to adjust the side straps and breast portion to fit comfortably. The manufacturer has also indicated that the user “should not” exceed more than 2 hours of wear at any time. Overall, I was actively able to wear this weighted vest comfortably for about 1 hour and then decided to give my chest and muscles a rest after that timeframe. The vest appears fairly easy to clean with just a damp cloth and hanging dry. Nice addition to your exercise routine or home gym. Read more
I picked up the 12 lb version of this vest, and I’m really happy with it. The materials feel solid, soft, and breathable, and after a few weeks of use, I haven’t seen any signs of fraying or shifting of the weights. I clean it simply by wiping it down after sweaty workouts and letting it air dry. When I’m walking or doing a light run, it feels very stable. The wide shoulder straps and Y cross support keep the vest snug, with minimal bouncing or movement. I also appreciate the added phone pocket and mesh back pocket for holding small items, and the reflective strips give extra peace of mind for early morning or evening workouts. The fit is great for my smaller frame. It is snug without feeling restrictive. The straps are easy to adjust, though I would note that for others, the vest might feel more prominent or dig into the shoulders if the straps are not tightened enough. Also, starting with heavier weights too quickly can lead to soreness, so I recommend picking a weight that matches your current fitness level. Overall, this vest checks a lot of boxes: comfortable, stable, durable, and functional. It may not be perfect for every build, but for walking, running, or general strength and cardio work, I would definitely recommend it. Read more
