My 30 watt RadioShack soldering iron finally failed to melt solder, though it was hot enough to burn me. This Soldering gun has two lights so it doesn’t matter whether you are right or left handed, you will have light where you need it. It is heavier than a soldering iron, but pistol grip is pretty ergonomic. Two stages of heat allows for smaller more delicate work or the extra heat needed to desolder larger wires. A little heavy to wield, that is why I didn’t give it top marks. Considering the purchase of possible alligator clips as a vice th help hold the work as my hands sometimes shake. Read more
