This drive solved all of my storage hoarding woes. It ships incredibly well packaged and didn't seem to have any use whatsoever, despite being bought used. Buy this if you need a reliable back up drive, or just something to clutter with your hoarding. Read more
Using these on a development server just to store some VMs on a Dell R710 rack server. I have them setup as RAID1 just in case one fails spectacularly and did a full disk init to weed out any sector errors We shall see ;-) Read more

It makes sound while operating as if headers are making contact with the body, sounds like damaged, it works fine and don't show damaged areas but doesn't sound very reliable so I've got two of them and put in raid one config. Speed is fine as expected, not easy to install as it needs strong separate power supply if you are planning to use it with laptop with just the USB port, won't work as USB port won't provide it with sufficient power supply. Total storage capacity is 1.8 TB as expected. Formatting it is easy enough. Read more
