First of all, I want to say the product works great. It is economical and exceeded my expectations. I have undercabinet LED lights linked with Alexa to turn on and off with Alexa. Alexa can also adjust the brightness of the lights from 40% to 100%. The only negative I have with the product is that its instructions are confusing. The device call itself a "New One Wi-Fi Smart Dimmer," but the App that allows it to get on the Wi-Fi network and link with Alexa is called "Smart Home" not "New One." The instructions on the outside of the box state, "1) Plug the device directly to the wall outlet. Once plugged in, it will enter into the Bluetooth auto-connection mode. 2) Tap #3 the manual button to include it into the network." That is not a correct statement. You first needs to download the "Smart Home" App to your phone which connects the device to the phone via Bluetooth on which you can enter the name of the W-Fi network and the password for your network. Following that, the phone needs to create a link between Alexa and the Smart Phone App so that Alexa can control the device. Once that is done, the device works very well even though Alexa sometimes says, "There seems to be a problem." There never is a problem, the command always executes correctly. The appearance of the message suggests there may be a little bit of a hiccup in the link between the device and Alexa. I think that may be because the device does not reach its targeted brightness immediately. It starts at 0% and increases gradually to its targeted brightness value. Since the lights I am controlling don't energize until brightness reaches at least 40%, It may be that Alexa is not sensing the device is "on" until the brightness of the lights reaches the 40% mark. I am speculating that the time interval between 0% and 40% may be sufficiently long to trigger the "problem" remark. Otherwise, the device works great. I highly recommend it. This dimmer switch is for a lamp I got as a gift. I read the reviews on this product but bought it anyway. 100%. Mind you it needs a 2.1 ghz nerwork, but I have that option. Lots of these smart plugs need that. I gave it 4 stars because the app didn’t work at first so I deleted it and reinstalled it, and then it worked just fine! Read more

This plug is exactly what I was looking for. I already had a smart fan using the SmartLife app and the skill was added to Alexa so as soon as I plugged this thing in, and added it to SmartLife, it was automatically imported into Alexa. The dimmer functions how I was hoping - the plugged in lamp ramps up to full brightness when turned on. It doesn't just go from dark to 100%. It also fades away when turned off or changed to a lower brightness setting. I was easily able to create an Alexa routine where saying "Alexa, let's watch a movie" dims the light to 25%. I bought this for work as the light above my desk it too bright for me and I didn't want to always have it off because my coworker still need to see. I was previously using a Wyze plug that was a simple on / off one. The performance on this one is severely lacking. The light flickers if you want to use the dim function below a specific number, and if you want it on the "1" setting forget it, the flickering is obnoxious. The setup was easy, overall, I was disappointed, however there is room for product development. Otherwise this small device could be a great addition as an alternate home lighting solutions. Read more
