I just tried my new balaclava. It is made of cozy fabric, not too thick, but warm because of the fleece lining. I wore it under my bike helmet. It was nice having the slits on the side to accommodate my glasses. With the balaclava pulled up over my nose. I did have a problem with my glasses fogging up, but I think that would be true of any garment of this style. I purchased a two pack that contained one black and one gray. I believe this was a great price for two. This also meant I could give one to a family member and I wouldn’t get it mixed up with mine. The fabric was stretchy and it fit over my face nicely. We have had a stretch of cold and windy weather lately and I needed something light weight, warm, and comfortable to wear on my head while walking and this balaclava has been wonderful. It fits securely around my head and neck, I can easily pull it up to cover my mouth and nose and the material is easy to breathe through. It is exactly what I was looking for in head protection. I think it will also be very functional for face protection while riding my e-bike in the early and late season when the weather can be somewhat cooler. I don’t use earbuds while walking or riding bike but this balaclava has covered ear holes available for this purpose.
