Not a bad little keyboard......
Just finished building a budget PC for a novice gamer. Needed a keyboard and saw this one for a budget-friendly price. I don't think he'll be unhappy with my choice. Build quality itself appears/feels surprisingly robust. Has a bit of weight to it. The top plate is metal, perhaps aluminum, which gives the piece a nice hefty, stable feel. Keyboard is plug and play, and has all the basic functions plus ten-key. No bells and whistles that you might find on a more expensive dedicated gaming unit, however. Upper row function keys have reasonably easy to decipher symbols, and initiate with what my wife refers to as "the effin' key". Fairly standard. Keystroke latency/lag is minimal to nonexistent, to my eye. RGB is rather neat. Not my cup of tea, but then I'm not a gamer. I think, however, that the recipient will be chuffed. Ten backlight modes, plus off. Partitions are also, to some extent, programable. I haven't tried it completely. My beef with this unit is the typing "feel". The keys seem a bit high to me, with greater travel than I'm used to. Wouldn't want to have to type on this all day as a work keyboard. That said, keys don't feel cheap or junky. But hey.....this isn't for me, so no worries. For a novice gamer, this should be dandy. Read more

space key was a bit stuck and made a sizzling sound
When this keyboard arrived, I was excited to replace my old keyboard. But I found that the space key was a bit stuck and made a sizzling sound when typing. Finally, I pulled out the spacebar and used WD40 to get it to work. The backlight is rainbow-colored and can be turned off or on with the on/off button. The Fn key is located next to the On/Off key. You can view the backlight mode by pressing the Fn key and the numbers 1 to 0 above the keyboard, which I tested with my PuechAxe RGB keyboard. Does not apply to the right numeric keypad. After using it for a month, everything feels normal. No problems have been found yet. Read more
