I had a kitten who would knock over every bowl I tried! I came across this fountain and I really liked the aspects of having it cordless as well as lighted so I could see the water level. Once I charged it (which was rather quick) I filled it up and down it went on the floor. Well - the kitten was confused when she couldn't knock it over! Kitty mind blown! She immediately started drinking out of it and loved the running water versus still water of a bowl. It is very easy to take apart and clean and you can set it to run continuously, intermittently, or by sensor (movement). I found the kitten drank more, which was great because she was very fussy about her canned food so I didn't have to worry about her not getting enough moisture in her diet. She also liked to "sneak up" on it and try to hug it with her front legs, but it resisted! Lol It runs quietly and the filters are easy to replace when needed. My cat needs more hydration because she's a bit older, and she was getting frustrated with her regular water dish, constantly tossing it around or spilling the water in it because her whiskers would touch the edges of the bowl too often. My cat doesn't have that problem with this bowl, and I like that it's rechargeable with a cable. It's quiet too, and the little light is a nice touch for visibility. My cat will only drink from this fountain so it was only right I purchase a second to have. Especially because he won’t drink from a regular bowl at all so it’ll be nice to have a backup while my first one is charging. Needs to be thoroughly cleaned as any other fountain but super easy and quick. It holds a lot of water and the filters do a great job of keeping any backwash or debris from coming into the tank. Cons are the dark side of the bowl makes it hard to see the water level without a flashlight. Don't place it in a dark corner. It functions without splashing. The battery life is extra long. Programming is easy to select. It is very good quality and ultra quiet. There is a blue light that comes on when the water flows, with no way to turn it off. The light is surprisingly bright and I can see the glow at night in my small apartment. Read more
Absolutely love this! The battery life is amazing, I didn’t have to charge it for maybe two weeks. I love the sensor mode. My cats love it. The only thing is one of the filter covers is tricky to remove but I was able to get it open eventually to clean the filter before use. I’d definitely recommend it, it’s easy to set up and use. Charging doesn’t take too long and the sensor mode prevents overuse of the battery and less water waste. My cats can’t just kick water onto the floor as easily with it. I got this fountain mainly because it’s cordless, and that alone made a big difference for me. I like being able to put it wherever I want without worrying about cords, and it’s been nice not having to keep it near an outlet. The size is great! I don’t have to refill it constantly, and it lasts my cat several days. I also really like the stainless steel top since it feels cleaner and is much easier to rinse and wipe down compared to fully plastic fountains. My cat took to it pretty quickly, which was a relief. It was easy to set up, and I appreciated that it came with extra filters and sponges so I didn’t have to order replacements right away. It’s also pretty quiet, which I was worried about, but I barely notice it running. You do have to clean it regularly so it keeps working well, but that’s expected with any water fountain. Overall, I’m happy with it and would recommend it if you want a simple cordless fountain that does what it’s supposed to do. Read more
This was such a great purchase for our cat. Our cat was obsessed with sinks and would yell at us to turn sinks on all the time for her to drink from. This fountain completely stopped that habit and lets her get fresh "sink" water whenever she needs. It has a large capacity, and we like the timed "auto-fountain" feature that spurts out water every few minutes. I appreciate that it's wireless and the battery only has to be charged maybe once a month or so even on this feature. I wanted to like this so bad. It holds a LOT of water, it's easy to take apart, although you can just pour water right in the top to refill it and it doesn't overflow, and my rabbit enjoys drinking from it. The timer / sensor / constant settings for the water and the level indication are nice too. But I can't count the number of times it has just stopped pumping out water even though it is at or over half full. I have only used it for 2 weeks and there's no blockage. I used distilled water. There's no excuse for this. On a more nitpicky note the blue light that emits from it is kind of disturbing during sleep, it would be nice to be able to decrease brightness or turn it off. But the fountain not working is aggregious! Not happy Read more
