WIZEKA Kitchen Knife Set with Block Razor Sharp 15 Pcs Professional Chef Knife Set with Knife Sharpener Food

I just received this knife set today. The first thing I checked was the box it came in. From the product reviews page on Amazon, I noticed a reviewer state that the box he received came labeled as "Panther" instead of "Jaguar" series thinking it may be a knock-off. I looked at the pictures on the product page and saw the same "Panther" labeling. I had already placed the order so I reached out to Wizeka Direct for an answer. Here is what they said, "Thank you for reaching out to us. The difference between the “Panther” label on the box and the “Jaguar” name listed online was caused by a printing error from our supplier. We mentioned this in a previous after-sales notice, but it’s possible you may not have received it. Please rest assured that the product you received is authentic and covered under our normal warranty and after-sales service. If you have any issues, please contact our after-sales support team at the email address provided, and include your order number and photos of the issue. Our team will assist you promptly. Thank you again for your understanding and support. Warm regards, Wizeka Customer Service Team" So as I opened the shipping box from Amazon, this is what I was looking for. To my delight, the knife set box was labeled, "Jaguar". So apparently this issue may have been with an older product. Ok, now I am inspecting the knives as I unbox them. All the knives were in perfect shape including the knife block. The knives were wrapped in plastic inside cardboard sleeves. All else was packaged very well. No issues at all. Now I examined the knives including the sharpness. They are all razor sharp! I then did a paper cutting test where it glided effortlessly cutting the paper like a razor blade. T this point, I am ecstatic with excitement, very happy with the purchase! The weight of the knives are hefty and balanced when holding them. Oh, and I REALLY like that it has a built-in sharpener on the knife block. That is an added bonus. I have a high quality Chef'e Choice sharpener, but will use the included one on the block since I believe it was designed to sharpen these knives exclusively. I will see how that works out. All I can say at this point is that I am extremely happy with the first impressions, features, and quality of this set! And this was an excellent buy for the price which is less than other professional knife sets. Now I will have to see how these hold up under daily use and care. Note: The instruction/feature card that came with the knives does not mention or state anywhere that these are dishwasher safe. It says to wash by hand using mild detergent and warm water, and to rinse and dry immediately after use. as for me, I will follow manufacturer directions. One last thing: there is an 80 year warranty by shopping with Wizeka. I have noticed you can buy items from unauthorized retailers and the warranty will not be honored. That is all I have for now. I will update as I use these knives over time and have any further comments. UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE... This is an update to my first review. I ordered this set for my wife as a present. She opened the item and was very pleased with the knives although there was a missing steak knife. So I contacted Wizeka Direct, the seller. The first email I sent from their customer service site was never reponded to. I sent another email, and got a reply which was not good. They offered me, "a new 4-piece "Silver Wing" steak knife set. Because now we not have the "Jaguar Series" steak knife." or "Receive a $10 refund for the lost knife." Neither would be acceptable. So I contacted Amazon for a return. Amazon is OUTSTANDING!! They are letting me return the original knife set and sending me a replacement set since they are unable to replace individual items. This is GREAT customer service. The reseller, Amazon is taking care of me, the customer, when the seller could not. My highest praises to Amazon for taking care of their customers. This is why Amazon is the giant they are! Thank you very much. My wife is soooooo happy now. The knives are awesome, but not sure why the manufacturer/seller cannot support their product fully. So take care of this set because you may not be able to get manufacturer/seller support you need for this set. Hope I will find out why they do not have replacement knives if something happens to one in their warranty period which is 80 years. Do they not make this Jaguar series anymore? Razor sharp, beautifully made and elegantly designed. All the knives cut like a razor, the block is attractive and solid, with no concern about tipping over. A real complement to any kitchen in appearance and practicality. The knife finish is very polished, making it easy to clean - rinsing off. Have not had to use the sharpener, as the knives are still sharp. An excellent value and complement to my ceramic blade Kyocera knives - looks-wise and use-wise. The handles are solid and confidence-inspiring, with a sure, no-deviate grip while cutting. This is really an excellent value knife set of heirloom quality, suitable for handing down through generations - not some junk wooden block set that tips over and looks seedy in a couple of years, with knives that have to be constantly tended to cut anything. We ordered these knives because they were listed as dishwasher safe on the Amazon listing. Unfortunately, when receiving the product it is very clearly stated in the manual that these knives are not intended for regular dishwasher use. Technically they are "dishwasher safe" but you have to immediately remove them before the dry cycle and dry by hand... Not exactly what most people would consider "dishwasher safe." I believe this is the manufacturer's fault and not Amazon, as Wizeka has the same advertising mishap on their product listing website. That being said, my partner and I absolutely love these knives and have no intention of returning. They are incredibly well designed, comfortable to use, and extremely sharp/functional. They have a nice weight to them without being too imbalanced, and they make cutting our proteins easy. I just have to remove a star because I feel misled slightly by the product listing. Read more
