I do not have any foot pain or problems with my feet, but I do have a pair of winter boots that do not have any arch support and start to hurt my feet after wearing them for a while. Good arch support, but too much pronation correction

I put Superfeet inserts in all my shoes. My high arches need them in order to be comfortable. But at $40-60 a pop, it's like buying a whole other shoe. These feel different. I'm used to an insert extending all the way to the toe of the shoe, but these only offer the heel and arch. It feels a bit odd, but not bad. Kind of cushy too (Superfeet are very stiff). For me, however, the pronation correction is a little too aggressive. My feet turn outward slightly when I walk. The outer edge of my shoes are a bit worn. With these in my shoes, my feet turn inward at a higher degree than than they ever did turning outward on their own, which might be worse. As an additional note, the product description says it's for correcting over-pronation. Over-pronation is when your foot lands on the outside heel and rolls or pronates inward. In reality this support is trying to correct under-pronation, or supination. Read more
