YC Onion Tako T23 Carbon Fiber Tripod with BC44 Ball Head I 10kg Load I One-Flip Quick Release

Ok this one is special. I've used a lot of tripods over the years but this YC Onion Tako T23 is something different. The carbon fiber build is excellent and it feels very professional, but the real standout is the speed. 📸 My #1 complaint with most tripods is having to undo three separate locks per leg to set up. It feels like a waste of time. This tripod solves that completely. On each leg there is a single thumb lock. When i release that one lock all of that legs sections release at once! If I flip all 3 legs locks, I can just flick the tripod and the legs extend fully. I absolutely LOVE this design. It makes setup incredibly fast. 📸 The rest of the tripod keeps up with the innovation. The included BC44 ball head is large and handles my heavier gear without slipping. I also really appreciate the logically placed bubble level which makes leveling the head very intuitive. The overall feel of the carbon fiber is top notch with dust proof joints. 📸 I originally picked this because the center column is reversible for low angle shots. That feature works great but honestly teh leg system is what sold me. It's hard to go back to traditional locks after using this. The Verdict This is a fantastic tripod that innovates in a really useful way. The one flip leg locks save so much time and the build quality is excellent. This is definitely a great tripod with welcome features. On the quality side, it's durable and stable. The carbon fiber legs are thick and strong, and the tripod's overall weight makes it a reliable workhorse. I love that all the joints are sealed so that you can use it in harsh conditions. The BC 44 ball head is smooth and precise to adjust. It works well for a photographer, but for a videographer, replace it with a quality video head. The leg distribution mechanism excites me. Well, it does not work as a single flip will immediately release all 3 legs; it works by manually releasing three legs, then using the levers to adjust individual legs. This concept works well for my use case and performs reliably and quickly. Much faster than traditional multi-section tripods. Overall, if you are looking for a heavy-duty tripod, this is an outstanding choice. Its concept and the build quality are well worth the price. The tripod weighs around 2.5KG, so if you are looking for a lightweight travel tripod, it might be overkill. Read more
