Yinke Hard Case for SanDisk Extreme Pro SanDisk Extreme Portable External SSD 500GB 1TB 2TB Travel Case Protective

I recently bought the Yinke hard case to pair with my SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD (2 TB version) and I’m very impressed with how well it protects and organizes the drive. The fit is excellent—designed specifically for the SanDisk Extreme/Extreme Pro line—so my SSD sits snugly without any wobble inside. What I like: The shell on this case is sturdy EVA material that feels rigid enough to handle being tossed into a tool bag or backpack without worrying about crushing my SSD. The interior has a soft lining and a built-in mesh pocket for accessories (cables, adapter, etc.). It keeps everything in one place and avoids the floppy “case with nothing inside” feel. It carries really well. The case includes a strap and is compact enough to slip alongside other gear rather than dominating my bag. On job sites or while traveling, it gives me peace of mind that my SSD and data are protected from drops, dust and minor impacts. Some things to know (caveats): It only fits up to two SSDs & their cables (as designed), so if you have a lot of accessories or non-SanDisk branded drives, you might find the space a little tight Though the outer shell is tough, it’s not fully “military-spec” rugged—if you constantly drop it from very high heights or submerge it, you may still want a more heavy-duty case. There are limited color options (mostly black/orange versions) so if you’re looking for a wide variety of aesthetics, choices may be fewer. The price is modest for what it offers, but of course the case doesn’t include the SSD itself (just as a reminder for buyers). Bottom line: If you own the SanDisk Extreme/Extreme Pro Portable SSD (or similar compact high-performance drive) and you want a smart, well-built case that protects your investment and keeps your gear organized — this Yinke hard case delivers. I was looking for a new external hard drive when one of my clients recommended the Scandisk 2TB model. As I was looking at different options, I also noticed this "hard case" that is made for the Scandisk drive. I went ahead and ordered both items. The case came in first, separate from the drive, so I was able to look over and play with it to kind of give it a "test run". The outside of the case feels and looks good "for a hard plastic", the zipper is very smooth and actually gives the case a nice appearance when closed up. There is added padding on the inside, for us clumsy people, and a little pocket to store the cord and maybe a credit card or driver's license if needed. A little "mini" clip is included, but I am not even thinking about using it, why temp the baddies with some they can just yank off your belt loop or purse. I bought this case for my 2TB SanDisk Extreme Pro and the fit is great. I like the little pocket that holds the cables in place. The space inside is wide enough, it doesn't seem like the cables are pressed up against the SSD. The zipper on cases like these must be really tricky to sew into place. Every case I've ever bought with a perimeter style zipper seems to have a corner where the zipper pulls back from the corner either while opened or closed and makes it a little tight to get the zipper to zip until it's broken in. Women with long nails beware - in order to remove the SSD from this case, you have to be able to get your fingers under the side just enough to pry it out of the snug form fitted space. There's a finger notch to put your finger under the SSD but it's still a bit tricky to get out. Might also be a challenge if you have really large hands. Overall, if I were to know all this before buying it, I'd still buy it. It's a nice case and will do exactly what I need. Protect the SSD. The only thing I'd like to see is a security lock zipper on the case. That would be a nice feature to have but I didn't downgrade the rating because it doesn't have one. The 4 star instead of 5 star rating is because of the minor imperfection of the zipper and the corner fit. Read more
