This cushion is great. On top of a crate or small stool it makes a great ottoman or extra seat. This has made meditations much more comfortable whether I am on concrete or the floor in my house. Also great for playing on the floor with my daughter for long periods. The construction is top notch and embroidery work is beautiful and flawless. Love that the cover comes off for washing as well. Edit to add after several years of use: still in fantastic shape, washes beautifully when you remove the cover. Due to the construction it never really “loses shape”, just needs a fluff. Great bonus seat and has saved my back many a time from floor sitting with the kiddo. I would buy again, and plan to add a few more for when we have guests and run out of seating. Read more
I LOVE this little cushion. It's firm (but doesn't hurt) and the height is juuust right to sit cross legged on it without putting any pressure on your ankles. Highly recommended for beginning yogis, people trying to meditation, or anyone who has to spend time on the floor (i've keeled on it a few times when trying to do something under the sink/desk). My spine feels straighter already! Came quickly and in compact package, it's a bit heavier than expected but very sturdy. I love the geometric design and the slate grey looks good almost anywhere. When comparing online, a lot of buckwheat pillows had reviews saying it came with bugs. I was so happy to find this pillow with no bug reviews! I ordered 3 and love them (no bugs😄). They are a great size and lighter than my last one. The material is thick and well crafted. It’s a great height for floor sitting. The pillow has a good solid weight to it for sitting on the floor to meditate, or for yoga. During the day, I keep it on my living room couch as a pillow - it’s pretty and solid enough for a good side lean support when watching TV. When I first took it out of the box and bag, the smell of the natural buckwheat husks inside was strong and potent - almost overwhelmingly strong in my living room. However, it completely wore off after a day and now it has no smell. The color of the fabric is vibrant and pretty, and it is comfortable. I really like it and don’t regret purchasing it! Read more
This pillow is sturdy and comfortable. Not only do I use it for yoga and meditation, I use it as a pillow on the couch or just sitting around. I really like it. The canvas material is strong and the filling is firm and comfortable. Unlike a pillow that sometimes you slide off. This forms to your body. First of all, I'd like to make it clear that I'm very happy with this purchase. The design is gorgeous and the build quality is very good! Compared to other rump-rests I've camped my derriere for an extended stay, it's a little hard. That's thanks to the materials filling it. It's not too tall, which I appreciate; it's just right in fact. However, an extra layer of foam or other cushioning on top would be appreciated, as well. I plan to stuff some foam on top, inside (it zips!) All in all, I love it! Interaction with seller: 5/10 -Nothing special here. Business as usual. Not a bad thing. This cushion is very firm and really helps me to sit up straight when mediating. When I lay down at the end of my mediation the cushion is just a tad to firm under my neck and head — probably why it is a cushion and not a pillow 😊. Arrived promptly, the cover seems very sturdy, I love the handle for moving it and the color is gorgeous and just as shown. Will use throughout the summer and probably get additional for gifts. I was really surprised at home much I have come to love this pillow! When I first bought them (I purchased two in the teal lotus pattern), I thought they seemed a bit pretentious with their claims of supporting one's back in meditation and buckwheat shells; I just wanted a floor pillow for sitting in my room, after all, and so guests wouldn't have to suffer sitting directly on the floorboards. Y'all, these cushions have been such a game-changer. They're not soft, but they're going under you, so they don't need to be. What they are, is good at conforming to a shape and holding it; the buckwheat hulls (and I checked on receipt, mine both contained buckwheats hulls and not plastic beads as one reviewer had received) can be moved and jostled easily into place when you settle down, but unlike traditional pillow stuffing it holds its shape and doesn't collapse down or flatten the longer you lean against it. In addition to being great to sit on, they've proven themselves superior to sit against, the perfect corner cushion for when you wanna sit upright against a wall and need a little lower back support (I have two desks in my room, and one is a floor desk that I lean against my bed to use, so this has been invaluable). The covering can be removed to be swapped out with another case or washed, and the internal sack with the hulls opens so you can add or remove shells. (I think it's perfectly filled, but I like having the option.) Great product, great quality, and deserving of the price tag. Read more
