I really don't like yoga mats, I feel they are restricting during such a freeing activity like yoga. They get in the way, they bunch up, they're just annoying. Plus, I do yoga in my house on my carpet, not a hard floor. But I can never get comfortable in downward dog because my hands slip and slip and slip. These are perfect. They are the yoga mat without the fuss. They are comfortable to wear, they are easy to put on and take off, and they take up no room at all. I have put them in my purse. I keep them on my bookshelf. You can't even tell they are there. I have been using them for many months now and I've been waiting to write a review because I love them so much, but I wanted to see how they did with regular use. I do yoga about 3 times a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. My wrists feel better while using them and after. I am able to flatten my palms easier. My downward dog is 100% improved. They are now as much a part of my yoga as breathing. I recommend these to experienced yoga practitioners and beginners alike. Yoga has been a part of my life for 17 years. I have taken classes, followed dvd's, done my own routine and taught a bit. I swear by these wonderful little gloves. I do have one little complaint that isn't as much of a complaint really as it is an observation. I say that because the little complaint doesn't affect the usability. The little stretchy bands in between each finger that basically keep the glove in place are comfortable, but they stretch during use, especially during downward dog. I'm not going to say they stretch too far, but I will say I feel like they should be a little stronger. During downward dog, my hands don't slip at all, there is just a stretch of the bands that is noticeable. Also, I have made the velcro strap around my wrist too tight at times and just had to adjust them. So, a tip maybe? Put them on do a quick wrist roll and forearm stretch and look for digging in from the strap and just straighten it up and then make sure it's not too tight or too loose. Just right for you. I promise you'll love them. Oh and I saw a few reviews about doing pull ups and lifting weights and stuff with them. I mean, ya ok, they are gloves but that's not the intended use! If you actually do yoga, and lift weights as well, get the right gloves for each activity. They are NOT comfortable to lift weights with. There is no protection of the fingers, just the palm. And it pinches when you close your hand around a bar and squeeze. It's kinda silly to mix yoga with lifting weights anyway.. that's missing the whole point of yoga. Isn't it? Namaste! Read more

I was happy with this purchase - though I mostly just use the gloves. The socks I think would work for most people, but my feet are a bit sensitive (there are a lot of shoes and sandals that I just can't wear) and the straps are uncomfortable rubbing against the back of my feet. The gloves, however, are fantastic! I use these with a mat, and when I wear them, the slipping I used to experience in poses like Downward Dog is no longer an issue. They are pretty comfortable for the length of time I use them, and I like being able to adjust the tightness with the straps. The padding is also great to relieve some of the pressure in my wrists. They seem to be pretty well-made, but I worry about the possibility of the between-finger straps breaking because they sometimes get a lot of pressure on them in poses where I"d normally be slipping. They haven't broke yet, and the seam looks to be pretty sturdy, but if anything rips on these I'd think that would be the first to go. I can't think of how they could improve it though, unless they used longer strips of fabric and sewed in into the full front and back of the glove. I would recommend the gloves to anyone who wants extra padding or less slipping in their yoga practice. The socks I think would be great for most people, but if you have sensitive tootsies like me you might want to go with gloves only. Read more

I used these for a two week trip to Europe recently and really enjoyed them. I wish I had found them years ago when I was on the road all the time. I carried a travel mat during those years and even though it was thin, it was heavy, plus it didn't provide cushion on hard surface floors. These YogaPaws were perfect though. They took me two practices to get used to. But they do not slip at all and allow me to move into and hold any standing pose. I took them off for floor poses. They saved me from having to pack a travel mat on this trip. Plus, there was not enough room in our cabin to roll out a travel mat anyway. I had a narrow space that was big enough to do some basic standing poses. So they allowed me to continue my practice in confining spaces and on a trip where luggage space was confined. I only have one wish and that is to have a pad on the heels. I do anchor my heels in many poses while rotating my foot, and of course this is not possible with the pads on the balls of the feet. A simple adaptation to my practice was required and it was no big deal. In a few minutes I figured out how to continue a strong practice while staying aligned, rooted and lifting all at once. I imagine that the product would be more difficult to design and anchor to the foot if it had a heel pad. Read more
