I like these because of the price per switch, and they can handle a bit more amps than the regular wall outlet modules with one outlet. Also being designed for outdoors, they should do very well in a damp basement. There are two switches in the box. If you want to use voice or Alexa Routines to control them, you must give them names, using the Alexa app. First install the device with the YoLink app, then ask Alexa to "Discover Devices". Once she finds it, open it with the Alexa app and name each switch. I have two of these 'Outdoor Plug YoLink' and use the Yolink app Smart/Automation/"Routines", scripts or programs. They work perfectly for controlling a dehumidifier and ventilation fan. I'm using Yolink temperature sensors to turn those devices on and off. (I'm using shortened names for these switches in the Yolink naming and the Yolink routines. Alexa still works using the longer names in her cloud). After seeing how reliable this dual switch is, I ordered a second one. It's controlling a 120AC to 12Vdc PSU for a security camera, and a tiny 12v wall-wart that drives a 12Vdc Relay Module with Optocoupler Isolation.(for 50Vdc) I have seen a few connection errors with this new unit. Since there are 2 regular Hubs and a Speaker Hub within 40 feet, I suspect the problem might be caused by 900 Mhz RFI coming from a single-board computer that's only about 3 feet from the new device. I plan to move the new unit about 15 feet away from the SBC and see how it does. Maybe put a ferrite RFI blocker on the AC Plug cord. Edit: 7/25/2023 I did not have to use a ferrite RFI blocker. Once I moved the dual-switch unit away from the SBC, I have not seen any Connection problems. My whole YoLink Smart Home / Security System is working flawlessly. Read more

The fit and fuction of this product was flawless. I am using to run my pool pump and pool vaccum cleaner. It works great. I have not used all the software fucntionalities just the timed start and stop. It is installed outdoor and directly faced many storms and water contact. I recommend it. Update - worked for a couple of months and after resetting twice the device failed to work. Reached out to the manufacturer, but never received any feedback. I do not recommend for outdoor use. I've been using Samsung SmartThings Z-Wave devices at my home for over 10 years, but it has issues. I have chickens and we live in the desert. I installed an evaporative cooler for the chickens, but couldn't get a reliable connection to my Z-Wave plug. I needed something with better range. I needed the installation to be waterproof. I mounted the Yolink switch in a weatherproof box, and plugged it into a GFI above it. I set it up with two Yolink temperature sensors. When it gets hot the switch turns on the cooler. The other sensor turns off the switch when the temperature drops at night. I've been using this switch for almost two years and had no issues. Strong signal to the hub. I've been transitioning from my Z-Wave to Yolink when I can do so. I put a temperature sensor in all of my freezers/refrigerators. I even put a Yolink sensor in my mailbox so I know when the mail has been delivered, and water sensors in my basement to detect water. I've have zero issues with any of my Yolink devices. Great product for the price. Read more

I'm a big fan of Yolink products and own many of them, and although this product is up to the high Yolink quality standard and works well, it puzzles me because it has only one hardware button on it. If it has two outlets, assumedly for two different purposes, wouldn't you want two buttons in order to power each independently? The app allows you to toggle both at the same time or each one independently, why not the hardware switch too? In my case this is used outdoors on a gazebo/pergola, with one outlet powering a radio and a set of string lights on the pergola ceiling, and the other outlet powering a set of misting fans. If I go outside in the daytime I obviously don't need lights, and in cooler weather I don't need the misting fans and just want the lights. If I forget to do this inside with Alexa first, once I'm outside I'm stuck either turning on both at the hardware switch or else fishing out my phone and getting into the app to do it. That's pretty silly... not a big dealbreaker, but really annoying because it's unnecessary. Outside of that though, it's a quality product and works great. Read more

This thing, like all of the YoLink items I have purchased was so easy to install, intuitive, and just works!! Have had other brands of WiFi items before, but the YoLink is the best and most reliable I have found. A little bit more generally than other brands but since it’s easy and work perfectly then it’s worth a few more dollar bucks. Thanks. Read more

Making alterations in electric light circuit on patio, needed ability to leave on main circuit but still turn on and off lights when needed. Acquired rope lights previously and installed them on patio. this controller turns on and off those lights while allowing me to leave the main circuit switch on to power the outlet in the circuit to provide power to the trickle charger for my riding lawn mover. I can control lights with my phone app or the Yolink FOB purchased from Amazon. A second controlled circuit is provided on the device so I can add additional lights or other electric device on patio that needs separate control. Obtained a second unit and installed it in my tool shed after extending the patio circuit through a GFCI outlet. Was able to automate the unit with door sensor so light turns on and off automatically with the door opening and closing. The fact that the device is monitored on the app for online condition allows me to be notified if I lose power due to the main switch being turned off or the GFCI being tripped. Read more
