Just received the power station after a long research. This machine is so solid and strong. It’s quiet, charges super fast and is most importantly very powerful. Love the design, it is smart, convenient and very elegant. Worth every penny! Read more

Get rid of the crappy usb-a and I’d buy it. USB-C should’ve fully taken over years ago. Read more

Based on my initial tests, the Yoshino B4000 power station underpromises and overdelivers. Initially I'm using it as a UPS for a work-from-home office, with plans to move my office off-grid as much as possible to solar power when solar panels (not the Yoshino ones) arrive. As a test I ran my entire office (Internet router, several computers) from the Yoshino for half a day at varying loads of 300 to 600 watts and I was happy to see the Yoshino had almost half its power left when I switched the AC back on. I love that it can be programmed NOT to draw huge amperage from the AC socket all at once when recharging, but can limit the charging power draw to as little as 450 watts from the line. I suspect slower charging will be better for the solid state battery as well. I am easily able to monitor the Yoshino's stats and control it from my phone, but I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish I had method for accessing the Yoshino from my Windows computer. I want to script operations such as automatically switching to line power if the input solar power doesn't keep up with demand, then switching back to solar panel charging only when the sun comes up. Though not explicitly advertised I had expected to be able to do this. I don't know if it will be possible hack the smart phone communications to learn the protocols. All in all, even at the least I will be able to switch my off-grid setup to line AC power on a timer, but it would be nice to be able to switch based on battery level to get the most out of the sun (ideally when day after day is sunny I won't use line power at all). I love the concept, sold state batteries for real. Very well made. No plastic junk here. Unfortunately my intended use made it impossible to use at the weight and size. I had to return it. Read more

This unit is a beast! I put it through its paces after the first charge. I ran our RV 15K BTU A/C for 2 hours on a charge. Can hook up our 30 amp RV power cord right to the unit. A nice phone app is downloadable that enables some configuration changes as well as monitor the status of the unit (charge remaining, temp, etc.) I am very happy with this solid state tech! Read more
