The media could not be loaded. I have always the requirements for phone car holder mount, while I travel a lot for business. When I came to a new place, I need to use my phone navigation, the phone car mount would help a lot at the moment. I have used so many different phone car mount, but YRU one would definitely be one of the best one I have bought! It solved the problem that other phone mounts have. I am a fan of big phone, from iPhone 13 Pro Max to iPhone 14 Pro Max and Samsung S22 Ultra, I always get the biggest ones. When using other car phone holders, my big and heavy phone would usually slip down from the car mount especially when driving through bumpy roads. BUT Surprisingly YRU one doesnโt like other one I had used, it grips my phone perfectly and my phone has never slipped down from the mount, seems it has a stronger CLAMP, and I found several silicone pads on the clamps and feet, it may improve the grip and I think it can protect my phone well. The phone mount itself can be used on dash/windshield or air vent while it comes with a air vent clip and a suction cup. At first, I used the air vent mounting. It was easy to use it, here were my steps: 1. unscrew the nut on the holder and put the connecting โballโ in to the socket, then screw the nut 2. Put the air vent clip onto a proper position of air vent, then rotate the knob there on the clip to make sure the clip grip the air vent tightly. 3. The final step is to install my phone on the holder: There is a button on the back, just press the button then the clamps will automatically release, and move the position of the feet, it is adjustable. Then put my phone on the holder and press the clamps to grip the phone firmly. I love the design of the panel, the clamps, the feet, seems that the โdepthโof the clamps arm and the feet are larger then other mounts, so it can grasp the my phone firmly, even with a THICK CASE there on the phone!!! I am 100% satisfied and happy with the air vent mounting! Definitely a 10 out of 10. After using a period of time, one day when I saw the suction cup, I decided to have a try for the dash mounting. The package and the installation guide were accidentally thrown away by my family, so I directly in accordance with my idea to install the suction cup when it looks simple to do it actually! The installation of the holder to the suction cup was similar to that of air vent mounting, after that, I just tore off the sticker there on the suction cup and stuck it on the desired position of the dashboard, then locked the suction cup. Everything looked great when I were using the dash mounting for the first several days, however, it fall off one day when I got into my car! I was a little down when I saw it while I gave a 10 out of 10 for it and it was a perfect mount for me in the past. So I came to the YRU customer support little bit disappointed! THEN I FOUND THAT THE PROBLEMS WERE FROM MY WRONG INSTALLATION!! Jelly from YRU told me that there were 2 wipes to clean the dash before installing the suction cup and I should have to press the suction cup hard on the dash for at least 5s! I realized that the wipes were thrown away together with the package and guide! And I didnโt press the cup hard for seconds! Jelly also told me that the suction cup is reusable, I can wash the cup and rinse it with warm water to recover stickiness. Then I followed the steps told by Jelly and reinstalled the suction cup, everything is perfect so far! The suction cup is firmly there on the dash and my phone is firmly gripped by the holder as always!! Great customer service from YRU! Jelly even wanted to send me a new suction cup, but while it is reusable so I donโt need to get it!! thank you so much anyway, and finally Jelly gave a a lifetime warranty!! Honest review of [Upgraded] YRU Car Phone Mount, Sturdy Suction Adjustable Long Arm Cell Phone Holder for Car Dashboard Air Vent Windshield, Handsfree Dash Stand for iPhone 14 13 Pro Max, Samsung Universal Cellphone @ $26.99 at time of order/review. I ordered this for my 2016 F150 pickup. I decided to replace a vent clip mount as I was concerned about damage to my vent over time. My purpose for ordering this one was because it was advertised as having a strong suction cup and would adhere to a dashboard, and it did not have one of those awful sticky flat discs that you had to glue to your dashboard first. I do not want to glue things to my upholstery. This ended up having to be stuck to my windshield since it would not stick/suction to my dashboard anywhere! The cab size and the way the windshield is angled makes for tricky mounting so as not to block my view, to be able to easily reach the mount and put my phone in it/take it out, plugging my phone it, and making any adjustments to the positioning. NOTE: The seller kept in touch and tried their best to resolve the problem with this device. 4 stars (would have been 3, but the customer service was awesome). Likes: The mount is adjustable in numerous ways (the arm moves in and out for length, the mount can be turned to put your phone in vertical or horizontal positions, and the angle of the phone can be adjusted). The mount holds the phone steadily, even over bumpy roads. This is available with Amazon Prime shipping. The seller reached out to remind me that they back their product, so I shared my complaints. It comes with a vent clip option too (not for me as that is what I moved away from). There is an accessory to stick to your dashboard that acts as a charging cable guide/holder (again not for me). It is reasonably priced. It adheres very well to my windshield. The clamping mechanism works well to both lock the phone into place and to release it. Dislikes: This does NOT mount to my dashboard and probably will not to any dashboard that has real leather grained or simulated graining (textured) like mine does. The surface MUST be very smooth, or this device will NOT suction to it. It just falls over. The arm that adjusts for length is not nearly long enough to mount on a windshield that angles very far away from the driver in the lower portions (such as most full sized pickups). I had to mount this in quite the awkward place on my windshield to be able to not block my view of the roadway, but still be able to mount my phone within reach of the mount and my charging cable. Where I ended up having to mount this, I have to angle my phone up more than I want or else the phone falls out of the device as soon as I press the release button. Thereโs a thin plastic film on the actual mount where the back of the phone goes into. This film is supposed to be removed and has a little tab sticking out to pull the film off. The tab on mine just broke off and the film remains on the mount and I cannot get it to come off. Meh: I need a phone mount badly enough that I donโt want to have to wait to get one and send this one back. In hindsight, I wish I had searched harder and further or ordered the other brand that claimed to suction to any dashboard. I fear that would have resulted in the same outcome. The phone holder is AMAZING, and I cannot recommend this enough! My husband's phone is like a BRICK, and does not fit typical phone holders; either due to the size or weight. I got this because we were about to go on a long road trip, and was tired of him losing his phone, due to sliding around... NOT SAFE! He was not very optimistic about this holder when I told him I ordered a new phone holder, BUT would give it a try. Now that we have gone on our trip... he wants it for his car, so he can use it EVERYDAY!!! It is easy to adjust to make the perfect fit, and the mechanism that releases the phone, glides like BUTTAH! The bottom has a silicone like grip to it, for extra grip. We have hit VERY bumpy roads and his phone has NOT fallen ONCE! The adjustable/telescoping arm is perfect for helping to reach the phone while mounted. The company has been VERY proactive; reaching out, making certain that their product meets all of my expectations, if it was working, and if I had any questions. They even made sure I was set up for the warranty, which I do not forsee needing. Read more
