This Zafro 8000 BTU Portable AC unit has been a game-changer for summer comfort (in Georgia, nonetheless)! Its cooling power is impressive, quickly cooling down my office and effectively cooling larger open areas (we can easily move it to the living room when needed). The airflow is strong and consistent, making a noticeable difference in comfort. What truly sets it apart is its quiet operation. It's not perfectly quiet by any means, however, compared to most window units its a night and day difference between the two. Also I do think that the 3-in-1 functionality (Cool, Dehumidifier, Fan) offers a lot of great versatility. I appreciate the easy-to-use digital display, remote control, and 24-hour timer for convenient scheduling. Installation was simple with the included hose and window kit, and the caster wheels make moving it a breeze. The washable filter is a practical bonus for maintaining air quality. While portable ACs have their limitations, the Zafro performs exceptionally well. For anyone needing an efficient, quiet, and user-friendly portable air conditioner for a bedroom, office, or small living space, this unit is highly recommended! Read more

The unit worked great when I first got it! It cooled the room down to the 60s when it was 70-80 degrees outside. Unfortunately, it did stop working after a few months of use. Since it was past my return limit through amazon, I reached out to the company and had a very pleasant experience with them. They are refunding me for the unit since it is no longer working properly, but I am happy that they stand by their product. Read more

Worked fine in my 200-ish square foot apartment—could get an 80-degree room down to 72 in a few hours. The cooling isn't super fast and the fact that the hot air is removed from the room via an uninsulated tube means that this product isn't the most efficient on the market—so don't expect miracle results. I found it pretty noisy (since I was sleeping right next to it) and was also kind of annoyed that the unit didn't turn on unless the temperature was at least three degrees above what the temperature was set to, but it worked fine for a summer. I had high hopes for this portable air conditioner but after less than 6 months of use, the unit has failed. It appears to have leaked all the refrigerant out of the unit. The fan still runs and the compressor kicks on but absolutely no cool air whatsoever. I have done all the appropriate troubleshooting (I have HVAC experience both on small units and on full size whole home units) and am confident that the refrigerant lines have failed. I have units that have lasted over 5 years with nearly continuous use and this one is disappointing to say the least. After reaching out to the manufacturer, they have completely failed to respond. I'd find a manufacturer with reputable customer service. Read more

I am loving this new indoor portable air conditioner I purchased on Amazon resale. First of all I saved money by buying on resale. Everything was in box. First day I was able to set up most of air conditioner why I say most is because the window panel is a little big. I will have to cut with a electric saw about 4" off top of one of the back panel to fit properly in my window. My window is from an old apartment building built in 1960's. I am using the window panel vertical. The panel is way too big horizontal. I guess these panels are designed for more up to date windows. We need air conditioners too but we live in old style buildings. Overall the air conditioner is very cooling. Today it's 89 degrees and I have a/c on 72 temperature with high speed fan running and I am very comfortable. The a/c is being used in average size bedroom. If I need more a/c in the evening I use the night mode and set timer for two hours only because temps go down to 60's at night. The night mode is very quiet. I noticed if I set a/c at 74 degrees and temp outside is cooler a/c will not need to turn on until hotter outside. So this is the energy saver. I have experienced using energy savers wall A/C. I really like the indoor type better. I find my room is cooler. I have another portable a/c being delivered soon for living room. This is also a resale model. Prices are great. These units are easy to roll around. I emptied water once in a while with tube not difficult at all. The noise level is minimum don't even notice it. Remote control easy to use. The appearance of a/c is very nice and blends in with furniture. I have update since received and I just received the second a/c same as the first one. I had a few cracks in the window panel that needed glue. No problem all is good now. I do recommend also purchasing the A/C panel waterproof cover that is Velcro around window panel from A/C. This keeps window sealed. I also recommend purchasing insulation cover for tubes coming from window. I found these things are essential for enjoying the cool air from A/C. I don't keep a/c too close to window. I recommend getting the tube extension pieces which makes a/c cone away from hot window. These items are reasonable priced. Once everything is on I don't have to worry about being hot in the apartment. Money well spent. Also curious about next utility bill see if cost went down. Hope this is helpful to anyone buying this a/c. Read more

Why did you pick this product vs others?: My room is smaller than the stated range but it never cools the room enough to turn off automatically so my electric bill tripled last month.. It DOES work to keep my cool in my room but I think I need something more energy efficient or maybe I'm not using it correctly. Do I need to drain the liquid? Any tips for using it in a way that doesn't triple my electric bill? Read more
