I'm loving the Zima Dental Pod Pro to keep my dental appliances clean and stain free. I wear my appliances at night and need to use Xylimelts at night because of dry mouth. The tabs have a layer that stained my top appliance and nothing seemed to get it clean. My dentist told me about Zima. I purchased the Dental Pod Pro right away. In the instructions there is a protocol for older stained appliances using the max cleaning setting. I followed it and am happy to report that both appliances look new again, clear as the day I received them! My Pod came with tablets to add to the water and they fizz when dropped in. I ordered more tablets because I want my appliances to stay clean. It's simple to use every day and the Pod is easy to empty and fill without complications with the electrical supply element. I wish I had taken a picture. Honestly, I only started looking into these because my daughter asked for one, but I initially dismissed it because she is always asking for things and I figured I've been using tablets on my appliance for years and its fine so why would she need one?! Then I saw an ad and started looking into them. I broke down and it was amazing. Even with daily efferdent treatments, my appliance displayed a stunning improvement after one use of the Dental Pod PRO. I had no idea there was any build up at all (it wasn't yellow and didn't seem to be cloudy) but now it is so clear and clean it looks brand new. The removable reservoir to dump and refill is great. I love not having to worry about getting water on the cord/electrical components or keeping a long cord on the counter so I can reach the sink. The shorter daily clean is a great option, especially if you have to wear them during the day as it's quick enough to run while you brush your teeth, or shower, or do makeup, and then pop in the clean retainers if your appliance must be worn 24/7. I still use this function daily, even though I only need to wear mine at night, but it seems to be more than sufficient for regular cleaning. The first cleaning I used the proprietary tablets that came with it. However, I have since gone back to using efferdent. Both did great, and I may update and see if I prefer one or the other with a weekly cleaning as I've decided I'm comfortable with a water only daily clean. Read more

The Zima Pro works magic. My teen son wears Hawley retainers. His orthodontist instructed him to brush the retainers with toothpaste everyday but the stains keeping building up no matter he brushed them three four times a day. I finally came across a Zima ad on Facebook, and it’s also available on Amazon. Hooray! Ordered on December 27, delivered on December 30. I immediately used the Zima Pro and the boosting tablet according to the enclosed instruction. My son’s retainers were so clean; the white stain buildups were completely removed. I’m so impressed with the result. I also reached out to Zima’s customer service for some requests. The customer service was excellent. The media could not be loaded. I got this for cleaning my permanent retainers a couple of weeks after finishing Invisalign treatment. I was initially just brushing the retainers, but ordered this when I noticed some deposits starting to build up. The first cleaning with the pod was impressive; the deposits were completely cleaned after one five-minute cycle. And since then it’s maintained the retainers looking completely new. The design is convenient. I leave it the base plugged in constantly, and just pick up the top part to fill and dump the water. It comes with some cleaning tablets, but I haven’t seen the need to bother. There are two minor drawbacks I think. One is the price: there are ultrasonic cleaners that are much less, but I was not sure about their quality and figured this was a one-time purchase. The other small issue is that the power button sometimes seems a bit fiddly. It’s touch sensitive, but not tactile. I will sometimes tap the button and nothing will happen (see video). I was thinking this would be more of a problem if I wanted to run the 15-minute cycle, which requires two taps. How would I tell whether the pod had registered both? I eventually discovered that the power button LED color gives an indication, white for 5-minute and blue for 15. I didn’t notice that info in the manual, but anyway that solves the problem of knowing which cycle is running. I also feel like I’ve gotten better at getting the touch right, so it usually registers correctly now. Anyway, overall it looks nice, is convenient to use, and most importantly seems to do an excellent job of cleaning. Read more

The Zima Dental Pod PRO works great for cleaning my retainer. It’s very easy to use just add water, press the button, and it does the job. After a few cycles, my retainer looks and smells much cleaner. It’s quiet and compact, so it doesn’t take much space on the bathroom counter. The quality feels solid and well made.
