It’s great in keeping my head nice and warm. Size is great. The material is the perfect thickness so I don’t feel like I’m suffocating. I can breathe through it just fine while it keeps most of the wind and cold air out. My only issue is the top part doesn’t come down enough so I have to use a thick headband to kind of keep the top edge down. Maybe it’s just my big head. I ordered this for myself and my cousin to use on the farm. I ordered this ski mask two pack last week after the Texas Panhandle was forecast to have temperatures in the low 20s all this week. I have worn the black one on two 40 minute walks and find that it keeps my head and face quite warm, even if the wind chill is in the low teens. Be sure to put on the mask first and then your coat. That keeps the neck flap inside and prevents any air from blowing in under it. The forehead cover isn’t completely tight so I wear my watch cap over it (see photo). That adds warmth and seals the mask covering the lower head. If you cover you nose you will have to breath through your mouth. However, covering the nose keeps it warm and seems to greatly reduce my nose running while I’m outside. All in all, I’m very pleased with my purchase and would order this ski mask two pack again. Was surprised by directions saying to massage it, let it rest, etc. and then wash it, but very sure you do because so much fiber stuff came off in the sink (just from rinsing it) that I would fear you might inhale some if you wore it before doing all they say. So if, like I did, you bought this in a cold spell do not expect to be able to use it right away as the process they describe takes a few hours. And since the temp dropped so uncharacteristically low that I bought them for in case electricity went out, in the house (which luckily it did not), and only the black ones were available for purchase.
