They are really amazing knives and often voted #1 by reviewers and chefs. But they are gosh dang expensive. The POM handles should be durable, the build quality seems second to none. I did not use the block, it landed in our RV. I use an in-drawer knife divider. I also don't use the steel which in my opinion is not so good for knives of this caliber. The boxes were damaged. The handles of some of the knives were damaged. The bottom of the knife block had scratches and the screws were out of the plastic feet. The items looked like they were haphazardly packed. For the price we paid, we were expecting better quality. Read more
