It’s a Flint. It Makes Sparks! It Works Well!
I inherited many of my Dads old Zippo lighters and although I don’t smoke, I decided to restore them to their former glory. That meant that I had to find a non-piezo-electric ignition source, aka an old fashion flint. As with most shopping endeavors, I immediately came to Amazon, did a little research and ended up with this great little container of flints. In general, their job is to make sparks and that they most certainly do. They are easily installed and unlike some flints (according to my dad’s coaching many years in the past, some flints wear more quickly than others), they seem very durable. I know I’ve test struck a couple of these flints no less than 500 times and they appear no worse for wear after 500 strikes as they did with 10.
