I hang this light from the center of the pop-up canopy I use at kart races and it provides a TON of light in a small and lightweight package. It's bright enough that I have no trouble working on small parts late at night and the light is dispersed well enough that there are no harsh shadows. It does get warm but not overly hot, especially considering how much light it puts out. It also draws very little electricity for it's output. I run it from a solar battery pack at the races and have run it for several hours without noticeably draining a single 100amp/hour battery. I'll probably be buying more of these lights for other uses. Read more

LOVE this bay light; it's brighter than an aircraft landing light and the beam angle is wide enough to blaze a spotlight directly above an assembly table and also flood the rest of the woodshop with enough ambient light to illuminate some of the darker recesses of the shop. It runs cool, the hanging setup is... unique but functional,, the finish is flawless and nice looking, and it's got a plug rather than having to hardwire it (it can be hardwired, but the plug is likely going to be appealing to those who have an extension cord and a receptacle within its reach. If there is any quibble, it's that the cord to the plug n play setup is far too short to be useful if the light is going to be hung at ceiling level. It's a rare home or shop that has electrical receptacles near the ceiling. (you may see the receptacle box half-arsed wired near the ceiling; I've got the luxury of wiring the units myself after a new circuit box and 6 20 amp breakers were installed. It's got a way to being finished, hence the need for the light in the first place!) Other than that, this shop light is a bright and powerful illumination source and you won't be disappointed unless you're trying to light up a stadium or Amazon warehouse. Even then, running a few daisy-chained will give you more light than you'll ever need. Read more

This light is very bright and offers more than sufficient lighting in my shop. I have 5 lights that are similar to this one and this one is the lightest weight I have installed. Everything about this particular light, the hook, and the cord and the light itself is much lighter weight than my other lights. Regardless of its lighter weight, it offers superior illumination. The kit comes with a chain for hanging, but I opted to not use it. I have found that the higher these types of light hang, the better the lighting, so I omitted the chain. This light comes with a full 5 foot cord. The title description from the seller states that the cord is 5 foot, but the more detailed description states that the cord is 3.3 foot long. To clarify that discrepancy, I can attest that the light kit I received came with a full 5 foot power cord. The installation was simple and a breeze to complete. Illumination is excellent. Solid seller reference. The only reason I did not include a photo with the light on, is because it is too bright. Read more

Who doesn’t want a LOT brighter light for jig painting, reel maintenance, sewing etc? I’ve upgraded my workroom light fixtures multiple times as better led bulbs have become available. Now I may just move this unit around to pinpoint the areas where super bright daylight is needed. In a darker corner of the barn I’m definitely pulling a big fluorescent and replacing it with one of these. After running the light over an hour I could hold my hand on it so not too hot. There’s a nice hanging chain, and a safety cable as well. A 3 prong plug makes it easy to plug in anywhere, although an extension will be needed unless there is a box close by. The light has some weight and seems quite solid and well made. To move the light around you need a hook or a tie off on a rafter or other support. You can permanently mount it the same way as well. The light is a bright daylight. Read more

My wife has a store/work room for her gardening stuff that's part of an out building. There aren't any windows so its a problem seeing when you walk in from bright sun light. I had a 4 foot LED shop light which was OK but she complained that it could be brighter. The ceiling is about 11 feet (top of the gable). This light actually seems brighter than the sunlight outside! Its great during the day but is going to be blinding if we need to go in there at night. At 11 feet I'd probably prefer less light. The spread is excellent, covers the whole room which is about 12 x 12. The color temperature is perfect, it's very similar to sunlight. Read more
