Honestly such a convenient purchase for someone who needs a decent amount of power for varying DIY projects. Especially as someone who doesn’t have a very strong background in engineering / electrical appliances, the adaptability of this can open the doors to many fun projects, and save money if you consider how much more it could be to replace a power supply than a whole product. Personally I have so far only used this to power a large LED strip controlled by an esp32. My only complaint is that I can sometimes hear a faint buzzing noise but I’m not sure if that is coming from the strip, the chip, or of the components, so I still will give this 5 stars. I’ll be buying another for a projector, and maybe an extra to have on hand. It feels like it is made well in terms of material quality, and has never failed me since “completing” the project. I can’t comment on the internal construction of it but it delivers consistent, solid power for my needs. Also to touch on the convenience again, the barrel plug and included adaptor is worth it when you need a reliable power source while you troubleshoot other potentially broken or faulty parts of whatever you may be buying it for. I purchased this power supply to power a linear actuator, the kind that is usually used in recliner chairs and similar devices. Unfortunately these actuators do not come with a power supply, they are designed to work with 12 volts. I noted the specs needed for the actuator and this power supply fit those specs so I got this unit and the price is very good. I did have an issue and the customer support communication with AOYADAISU is excellent. Actuators retract when the wires are attached in the proper positive and negative configuration and extend when you reverse the polarity. To work the actuator you need to use a reverse polarity switch, which I purchased, but I wanted to test the system before installing this switch. When I connected the actuator it did not work. I assumed there was something wrong with it so I contacted both the actuator manufacturer and the power supply people but was not able to resolve the issue. Then is dawned on me to reverse the polarity and it worked. You see, when I attached the power supply it was already retracted and the normal polarity connection is designed to retract. Since it was already retracted it did not move and I assumed it was not working. So, now I have the system ready to go. I am using the actuator to raise and lower an old floor standing drill press that does not have that already. I highly recommend this power supply. Read more

I have four external hard drives for my NAS setup. All use the same supply, 12 volts at 1.5 amps. Instead of using four supplies taking up four AC outlets, I decided to run all drives using the one power supply. After some basic wiring, all four are up and running. It hardly gets warm.
