I ordered these stickers to help my granddaughter and me tell if we have sufficient sunscreen on. It has been a fun summer watching our stickers change colors. We know so much more about sun damage today than when I was a kid. I am hoping using these stickers helps my granddaughter learn the importance of sunscreen and proper protection. Read more

I had a bit of a skin cancer scare a few years back and since then, I'm SPF all day, every day. I am also totally forgetful, so I was hoping this would help remind me to refresh my sunscreen. Pros: easy to use, just peel and stick. I would make sure you have nothing on your skin before you put it on. They tend to last longer. They are reactive to UV light and change a purplish color. If you have sunscreen on it, less so. Cons: There are no instructions on how they're supposed to work, so it's not totally clear whether these are suppose to turn clear or white again after you add the sunscreen, but it didn't do that. (see photos) Overall grade: C, this gets points for value and ease of use, but the performance is lackluster. I really wanted these to work, but unfortunately, without the instructions and a guide on what to look for, I was a little lost as to what to look for, so my hopes were dashed for a way to remind me to slug on more SPF. These are such a cool idea but I wouldn't necessarily trust them since the color never really seemed to change that much. The adhesive worked well even though I was worried that putting sunscreen over them would pull them off. They were pretty consistently light purple though, so if they changed at any point I'm not sure I would have really noticed. Read more

These stickers are small but work surprisingly well. We brought them on a beach trip and they were a great way to remind everyone when to reapply sunscreen. They change color clearly when UV exposure increases and fade back after sunscreen is applied. You get a ton in the pack, so it’s easy to use them daily without worrying about running out. Simple, effective, and especially helpful with kids. Read more

I was sort of sceptical about these sunscreen reminder stickers since I didn't understand how they work and the lack of clear instructions didn't help. However, I took a guess and tried them out and I'm impressed. It's not very clear from the instructions, but you apply these to clean dry skin, then apply your sunscreen over the sticker. I put one on this way (SPF 50) and another on without sunscreen so I could see if it worked. After being outside the a few minutes, the sunscreened sticker was only a fairly faint purple while the non covered sticker was quickly turning dark purple. The UV index was pretty high today. When I got in the car, both stickers went back to a nearly clear color. I played around in the water for about 20 minutes and both stickers stayed on me well as long as I didn't mess with them. The adhesive is very good. I was even able to move one of the stickers after wearing it for several hours, including in the water, and it adhered very well to the new location. These are something I'll continue to use on me and my kids to help prevent sun damage. Read more

I was excited to try these UV stickers. I’d been curious to see how effective my sun block is and if there would be a big difference between my chemical and physical sunblocks. Unfortunately they just don’t work very well. First off they never turned a deep, dark purple like in the pictures. They turn a pale lavender. Secondly, they turn this pale lavender almost instantly. I tested out a sticker with sunblock and one without and they both turn at approximately the same time. I was alarmed at first, thinking I had not been applying sunblock correctly. I slathered on multiple sunblock brands, types, and spf ratings.. the results were always the same.. the stickers turn a pale lavender almost instantly, at the same rate as my control sticker (no sunblock). I’m relieved that I haven’t been inadvertently exposing myself to UV via faulty sunblock… but I’m not happy with these stickers. They really just don’t seem to work. I spent more time than I should’ve testing them out. Aside from the stickers biggest flaw (not working), they also would not stick well once I started to sweat. They’d often slide around on my face, or fall off completely while on walks in the heat. I wish could say something positive about these, but they are just sporty pale purple stickers. Read more

I really wanted these to work, but despite trying multiple sunscreens and multiple applications, they are never anything other than purple when I'm outside. Packaging doesn't contain any instructions, but I understood from the pictures that I needed to apply the sticker, then apply sunscreen. I also understand that bright sunlight will cause the stickers to be somewhat purple. However, I applied a sticker and then sunscreen to the back of one hand, then applied another sticker and no sunscreen to the other. Both stickers were the same color. So, applied a different sunscreen to the first hand and waited. No change in color. On the plus side, I find the adhesive on these stickers is very good so if they worked, they'd stay put. Read more
