I bought these UV stickers for a trip. I applied sunscreen over them as stated to do, but they did not work correctly. Right when I went outside they turned purple and stayed that way. It did not matter how much sunscreen I applied or reapplied, they always indicated to reapply. Also if you leave the stickers on all day they become mushy and the purple color transfers to skin. Do not buy! Read more

These stickers worked out great! Super easy to apply and it sticks to your skin really good. As an adult, I am awful at reapplying sunscreen after a few hours, these stickers are a great reminder to do so. The sticker starts out the color purple, and when you apply sunscreen, the design (emoji) fades away (as you can see in the picture). As time goes by, you slowly start seeing the emoji appear again, which means it’s time for more sunscreen. After lots of swims in the ocean and building sandcastles, the sticker finally started to give out in about 3 hours of when we first put it on. So one sticker was good for 2 sunblock applications and lots of play before needing a new one. Also just know that a small round spot on your skin might not get sun. lol you can barely see it on the picture with the red circle but it is there. Still, not a huge deal, just know that it might happen. This odds a great buy and you get tons of stickers. Definitely recommend! Read more

I used a couple of these at the zoo during the summer. I like their appearance, and I could use a reminder for SPF. The placement is very tricky. If you put it anywhere near where skin can fold or stretch too much, you'd lose it before you know it. I don't think it can survive pool water. But they are fun and cheap, and if you have a stroll around the city, they can work alright. Read more

The media could not be loaded. ***Edit*** I'm amending my review and changing the stars from 1-3 because I just had someone tell me that you're supposed to put sunscreen over the sticker. The product description never said that anywhere, so I hope they update the product description. I haven't had a chance to test this yet, but i feel like they deserve a better rating now because maybe other people know that's how you're supposed to use them. ***** If these had been advertised as "fun! Turns purple in the sun" I would have rated them much higher, but they are advertised as "Reminder Know When to re-Apply Sunscreen, UV Detection Stickers" They turn purple immediately in the sun. That is useless. No one rapids sunscreen every 3-5 seconds. That uv detection claim is sorta accurate, it does tell you you're in the sun, but if being in the sun and being able to see the sun shining on your body isn't clue enough then I don't think a sticker will help you either. I'm including a video that shows how fast they change. (It took me 5!!! tries to get this because they change so fast my phone camera wasn't focusing fast enough or I was too slow hitting record.) They are not a good value because they do not do what they claim to do. They are decently sticky, and if they were a toy I could leave it at that. They are reusable, they change back to clear in shade almost as fast as they turn purple. In that regard, say a mom in the shade with these stickers on her children who calls them back in to check their stickers every so often will see clear stickers and then maybe not really sunscreen when it's needed, in that regard these are worse than useless, they're dangerous. I have a picture of the package so people who order those as a *fun color changing sticker with no utilitarian value* know what to look for. I almost missed these in the package, the envelope is small and they arrived in an envelope with other things and I almost threw them away, I opened out at the other end and they were caught in the adhesive at the bottom corner. I was waiting for them to arrive and realized Amazon said they were delivered like 10 days earlier, thankfully I hadn't put out the recycling yet and I found them. I will not remove stars for that, my fault for not double checking envelopes better, all the stars I'm removing are because they are advertised as a useful tool and they do not do what is claimed and is someone is expecting that they have a real chance to cause harm. These stickers are such a clever and fun way to stay on top of reapplying sunscreen. They're especially great for kids—they love the emoji designs and actually remind me to reapply, too! They stick well, even at the beach, and really change color when UV exposure increases. A great find for anyone who spends a lot of time outside. Read more

These do work as UV stickers - they are colorless until exposed to sunlight, where they turn obviously purple. I put one on my son before applying his sunscreen, and it worked to show that the sunscreen application was good and when it wore off. However, it did not stay stuck the whole day - we went on a hike (sweat, but no water/swimming), and it lasted for about 5 hours before falling off somewhere in the forest. Read more
