I had a project to fabricate a new GPS Chartplotter housing for my 33' Larson Express Cruiser boat using Starboard polyethylene plastic. The Go2Home welder I purchased is amazing. The temperature control is very accurate. I ran some test welds on scrap starboard. Adjusted temperature for perfect weld and proceeded to fab up my housing. I used the provided "tack" weld tip first and finished up the weld with the weld tip to feed in the welding rod. Used it on a few jobs. I like the heat setting adjustment and the different tips that comes with this kit. I repaired a bunch of containers with just the fan tip and aluminum mesh (not included), didn't need to add much plastic material as the kit comes with a nice roller to smooth out your men's so it pushes that mess I use right in flush with minimum heat time and effort. I bought the heat gun for a 120 square foot tpo roof. The welder and the flat tip worked fine for me. The original element, however, burned out about halfway through the project, after running for less than an hour. I'm glad they included a spare, as they both seem very cheaply made. In addition, the included roller was broken in the box. I could have guessed, considering the quality of the manufacture overall, but it was funny to me that they would even bother including a useless roller.
