This nail trimmer came charged enough for me to test it right out of the box. Now, for the nail trimming, I was almost too scared to try it after all the multiple warnings about a sharp blade. They do emphasize practicing safety with it. But I forged ahead and gave it a whirl. It does trim nails. It’s not exactly “cutting” them as it seems to be more vigorously filing them down. That being said, you will need to use a fine grit nail file after this if you’d like a really smooth edge as it doesn’t seem to do that. Now what I really did love on this thing is the “bright armor” feature. I have ridged nails and using this actually made them smooth and shiny. It honestly looks like I’m wearing clear nail polish but I’m not. I tired to get a picture or video, but the camera isn’t doing it justice due to its natural tendency to try to avoid bright reflection. You can see from the picture I did include though how it leaves a very fine dusting of fingernail behind while doing this. It’s easy to use, just pushing the button to turn it on and then pushing again to adjust the speed. I started slow and might stay at the lowest speed until I get a better hang of it before going up to the second and third level of speeds. I feel like once I’m really comfortable with it, it’ll provide a quick way to clean up my nails. I think that this product works pretty well. I like that it is really easy to use and doesn’t require many directions in order to understand how to use it. The device has an LED light which helps illuminate what you are doing. There are also different settings so that you can adjust the speed as necessary in order to make sure that you are cutting your nails at a speed that makes you feel comfortable. The device also feels pretty safe for what you are doing. I have had one in the past and the speed could not be adjusted so I didn’t feel safe while using it. However, with this one I don’t feel that way. The device also cuts the nails pretty well and doesn’t leave the nails half cut or require multiple cuts in order to actually cut the nails. I bought this electric nail clipper hoping it would make trimming nails easier, but it’s just okay. It does cut nails and is safer than normal clippers, but it’s kinda noisy and the battery doesn’t last very long. The design is fine and it feels comfortable to hold, but it’s not anything special. This is great if you are a person that loves doing nails. But for me that prefers and quick clip and file this takes a while. The instructions are not really that clear but a quick search on YouTube got me up to speed. It does take some time getting used to this style of trimming nails. One thing to note is that it feels like I just left the nail salon after I use this product which is very good. I had to subtract star for the poor instructions that are very hard to read. But overall I enjoy this nail trimmer and my fingertips feel tingly after use. I was worried about cutting myself too, and this is actually a million times safer than user standard nail trimmers. This trimmer also has a polisher and each mode is 3 speeds polishing or trimmer.
