Works amazingly! No more static, chapped lips and cracked hands in the winter. It holds a ton of water, so it only needs to be refilled every 3 days running it 24/7, and it’s very quiet. My only complaints are how seriously ugly it is, and also that I’ve noticed a mysterious dry film (looks like dust, but it’s not) on smooth surfaces like tables, counter tops and appliances, which wipes right off but is annoying. At first we loved it. Then we found out that you need to use distilled water. If you use tap water the mist contains mineral crystals. We used it for about three weeks and our furnace quit running. After an emergency night call to the furnace company we found that the filter was completely blocked from the crystals. We also noted that our plants that at first were doing great were not any more. The crystals will cover the plants and the dirt blocking needed 02. So we don't know what to do with it. We cannot afford to spend the money to use distilled water.
