I was looking forward to using this for so many dishes, but the enamel coating on the interior surface of the base is defected in not one, but two locations, right on the cooking surface. It appears that air bubbles were present when being coated, and left two open and raised pits, about the size of a sesame seed...you can see the cast iron exposed in the pit. If I use this, I will be using a tool that will be scraping along the pits and further damaging them and make them larger, while getting particles of enamel coating in my food. No one wants that. The QC needs to pay closer attention, as this piece should have never made it to packaging. Read more

I love to cook with this braiser! The quality of the pan is excellent and it is easy to clean, leaving no stains. I have used it for cooking various meats and am always happy with the results. It is an excellent value and, surprisingly, I like it better than my similar cookware made by an expensive brand. The “bird” knob on the lid is cute. I highly recommend this braiser. Read more

I looooove this braiser pan. I use it 3x a week! No issues w/ the pan itself . Only problem I’ve experienced has been w/ the bird knob. Attempted to change cow knob to bird, but the screw wouldn’t thread. I tried other screws, but was unable to find one to thread. I believe the knob may have a defect. Contacted seller, if they can send a replacement bird knob or sell the knobs, I will update my review to an absolute perfect 5. Looking forward to more cast iron wear from this company on my birthday 🎉! Read more

I just recently purchased this enameled cast iron fry pan/saute pan. The shipping was quick and the package arrived in perfect condition. Upon initial inspection, I found this pan to be flawless and absolutely beautiful. I haven't yet used this particular pan, though I do have others that are similar and those too create a perfectly cooked meal. I see the LeCrueset pans and always have good intentions of buying one, but i just can't do it. I can't spend three hundred plus on one pan. My other pieces Lodge and another no name brand create perfectly cooked food, easy clean up and they too are very aesthetically pleasing. I am 75 years old so the years I have left to cook would not justify the cost of LeCrueset. I do highly recommend this pan. Buy it, you won't be disappointed. Read more

It was very easy to use, and the included silicon handles made it easy to lift when hot. However users need to remember that this item is cast iron and is therefore heavy. (I have carpal tunnel problems and didn't realize how that would affect my lifting ability.) The bird handle on the lid is a nice different touch. Read more

I recently bought the Cast Iron Braiser Pan with Lid from Amazon, and it's fantastic! The heavy-duty cast iron ensures even heat distribution, perfect for braises, stews, and roasts. The vibrant red color and unique Red-Cow Knob add charm to my kitchen, and the snug-fitting lid traps moisture. I've made various dishes in it, from beef stews to chicken casseroles, and it always delivers. The large capacity is great for family meals or meal prepping. What’s even better is that this pan offers similar performance to Le Creuset at a significant discount. You get the same high-quality cooking experience without breaking the bank. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied. The Cast Iron Braiser Pan is a versatile, high-quality addition to my kitchen, and I highly recommend it! Read more

This item is a 3.5 quart cast iron braiser pan with an enameled interior coating and a red glossy exterior finish. The pan has a pair of handles for gripping and lifting, while the lid comes with a removable/interchangeable knob (I took the bird option, as opposed to the cow, while both include a standard circular knob that can be swapped in). Use the included silicone grips, or whatever oven mitts/thick cloths you have handy when gripping the heated metal to avoid injury. The lid and enameled interior do a great job of keeping in the moisture of the cooking food, so you don't wind up with dried out gristle when cooking your meats and vegetables. The enamel lining also makes it rust proof, which is frequently the biggest hassle of using/cleaning cast iron cookware. As with other cast iron cookware, it has great heat retention, so it can continue cooking and keeping food warm to extended periods once removed from a heat source (stovetop/oven/firepit). $54 is the base price for this item, which is fair for a nice piece of cast iron cookware, and given the fact this has a nice finish to boot, it's worth it. Beautiful enameled in blue. A bonus that it came with the silicone sling and bread lame. It's a good thing it was double boxed because the outer box was severely damaged and was taped up by the shipper. There was no additional material to prevent the inner box from moving about inside the larger outer box. No damage to the inner box Read more
