If you're not able to sharpen them yourself from the beginning, it's not worth it.
After using them for some time now, they continue to work great with only one drawback. They look good, the magnetic board holds them well, but my biggest and only negative is that they do NOT come sharp at all. I've had to work on all of them to get them kitchen-worthy.
