A good knife is a good friend for anyone working in the kitchen. When I saw the WICKWILLOW 8 inch double serrated Swedish steel bread knife I decided to give it a try. I have attached two pictures to this review. One picture shows the packaging and the other is a close-up of the knife. I included the knife packaging because it is very nice and although I think the knife is very high quality the packaging helps to support that impression. The first impression I got was when I picked up the knife. It is not heavy but it has a "good weight" and it has a quality feel. The shape of the handle fit my hand well. The knife is very sharp. It is kind of funny because this is advertised as a "bread knife" because we cut many items including vegetables (including soft tomatoes) and meat and it makes very clean cuts. We do not currently have any bread loaves to cut (currently) but given previous experience with serrated knives it should have no trouble cutting through the tougher crust and softer bread beneath. The blade is made of 14C28N stainless steel. I looked this up on Google and it says it has excellent hardness and corrosion resistance. It has nitrogen in its composition which should boost hardness over knives that use carbon. This type of steel is considered to be among the best for toughness of the knife steels that are available. I have not used this knife very long but this gives me hope for a long lasting knife. If you are looking for a bread knife (I have used it on everything but) then you should consider the WICKWILLOW 8 inch double serrated Swedish steel bread knife. It will get the job done! Read more

This is an impressive bread knife. The attractive, olive-wood ergonomic handle is comfortable to hold and provides superb balance and control. This is my first experience with a double serrated blade, and I really like how easily and cleanly it slices a loaf of bread. I have included a close-up photo showing the double serrated edge and a conventional serrated edge for comparison. The knive arrives in a presentation box suitable for gifting. By following the care instructions appearing on the back of the box (hand wash only, dry immediately and no automatic dishwasher!) I expect this knife to provide excellent service. It’s a good quality knife for the price. Arrived very sharp and have had no issues using this knife to cut bread and cooked meats. Very good value considering the price and the current coupon offered. I cannot tell if the blade is a full tang blade but for the price it’s hard to complain either way. We have been using this for the past week and absolutely love it. It comes really elegantly packaged, a joy to open. It also has a sheath so it doesnt get damaged or dirty.
