Very impressed with this phone mount! The suction cup sticks super super well to most surfaces in my car. Although I don't have a super great spot for the suction cup arm, the extra attachment for the vents is perfect. No damage to my vent fins and it holds very strong I like the options to choose between the arm or vent attachments, allows for a lot of versatility regardless of what car you drive! I LOVE the phone holder, it works with large phones and the quick release button is super convenient to get your phone in and out easily. Works as it should, I placed it on my windshield just underneath my rearview mirror and it's been sticking for the last week or two. Will have to see how it does in the summer time when these things tend to fail. Using the suction cup though it does come with a vent mount. Seems like it's designed well, but it will shake a bit due to it's length and the mount to the suction cup not being as tight as some other brands. The actual phone mount works like many do, a simple ratcheting squeeze to hold the phone in and a little release button on the bottom right side to open up the clamps. If it lasts me a couple years it'll be worth it. Read more
We were not sure if my son-in-law was going to want a phone holder on a vent, the dashboard, or windshield. Having the option to install this with a vent holder or suction mount was great for us. I hope to borrow it for family trips to use in rental cars. Surprising to me, the suction mount held to the dashboard of his old Toyota Highlander. Not sure that will last, but if it doesn't, there is plenty of places on the windshield to move the phone holder to. A negative for this suction mount is that the base and the suction cup have too much give between the, so the phone wobbles more than the car. The vent mounting option does not allow for using the extension arm that the suction mount has. The vent mount held nice and tight, but the phone holder keeps the vent from being adjusted and blocks airflow (why we tried to use the extension arm). Worth having one less fully functional vent to be able to use the phone holder in most any car, and not have the phone wobble as much as with the suction mount.
