This scale is a bit larger than most scales, but that didn't matter for me, as it goes underneath a bathroom cabinet with plenty of room to spare. This scale is definitely priced above other scales you might find, say in a Bed Bath and Beyond before they went bankrupt. However, I chose it because it is a medical scale and I thought it would hold up better than the scales I've been buying, which seem to break so easily. This scale also has app/wireless features that make it a higher end scale. When I took it out of the box, I knew I had the right idea, as the scale is really substantial and sturdy. I expect it to last quite some time. Best of all, it takes normal batteries, and the battery compartment isn't closed with a tiny, non-standard screw. I can't tell you how many times I've spent 25 minutes changing scale batteries. Bottom-Line, I would say you get what you pay for, at least as much as it applies to this scale. Read more

Tested against several digital scales, my weight was only varying by less than a pound between them all. so seems quite accurate. Compared to other scales, this one was bigger and heavier, but it can weigh more to 550 lbs. Good for heavy/big people, but personally for a lean athletic person, this is too heavy and large to my liking. It might also be good for elderly people because of the bigger/wider base, so easier to stand on, plus the surface is not tempered glass so less slipperly for standing. Nice that it has an extra year's warranty (2 years), sounds/seems like a medical grade scale device. It has bluetooth support and smartphone health apps support, but I didn't test that. All it does for that is send your weight info to the app for tracking/monitoring, nothing more. It uses 4 AA batteries. One thing to note though, price wise compared to other scales I've used, this one is rather expensive given the functionality it performs relative to other scales. Read more

He’s not a big guy or anything but he likes to use an app to track his diet and general health. He downloaded the app that goes with the scale and seems to enjoy it. The scale itself is oversized compared to a typical bathroom scale. Most bathroom scales we have had go up to 300 pounds and this one goes up to 550 pounds. This scale is lower to the ground than our previous one and feels very sturdy when you step on it, it doesn’t move or wiggle. The scale is actually good for weighing larger cats. The scale is large enough to put all four cat paws on the scale and let go and it has just enough time to register their weight before the cat jumps off. The one drawback I have found is if somebody has the app then anytime anyone else steps on the scale the app will record that weight. So there is no privacy with the scale if anyone uses the app. We tested it with my husband away from the house, and I weighed several things on the scale . When he got back home and was near the scale, it pulled all of those weights onto the app. Of course without the app it simply works as a very nice and accurate scale. 16 x 14 inches and weighs about 4.5kg, the weighing scale is a serious and accurate device, which can transfer data onto an app on the cellphone. The scale uses 4 AA (included) batteries that can last for a very long time since it does not use power much. Bluetooth connection with the cell phone was very easy. The app keeps track of the weight. The scale came with the batteries which was very convenient. The scale is low profile, meaning it's very low in height, and the supports are spread on the bottom edges, so the scale won't tip on a side, if I would step on its edge. A safety design really, as the ones I had would tip on the side as the central supports are way too much inside from the edges. This is the best scale I have ever used. I have several athlete children who are watching their weight to stay healthy and competitive so this weight is extremely helpful. My favorite part of this scale is the "smart" aspect: it has a Bluetooth aspect allowing you to connect it directly to your phone and track your weight on the go. The scale itself is very large and can hold a substantial amount of weight (up to 550 lbs). The numbering on the scale is large allowing you to see it when you are at your full height.
