Buy it but don’t expect it to last.

I have cervical radiculopathy and the position of my hand on the mouse is a big deal. This mouse does the job. My pain is not exacerbated when using this mouse. As far as the operation of the device, it's fine. I don't have as much control over positioning as I do with a "regular" mouse, but I believe greater control will occur in time and with use. I do like the positioning of the buttons and wheel. They are intuitive. In all I say this mouse is worth the cost based upon my medical issues, its operation, functionality and quality. Buy it. Edit Here I am 6 months later and the mouse has literally FALLEN APART in my hand. The bottom cover has fallen off. I haven’t used this mouse enough to warrant it falling apart. This is a defect. Unfortunately I have no recourse with the manufacturer because of the lapse of time. Too bad. Read more

Great for the Price! Would recommend!

UPDATE: As of 4/5/19 I've had this mouse for a little over a year. The mouse started auto scrolling my open windows. I would simply hover over a window and, not touching the mouse, it would auto scroll my windows down. Quite the glitch. This stopped after I unplugged the mouse's USB adaptor from the back of my CPU. My IT department said it was a glitch with either the mouse or adapter. Either way, I'm sad to see this mouse go. I kind of liked it but there is no way around the glitch. I did try resetting and plugging it back in... same thing. However, I did not see this problem reported on other reviews. Could have been just my mouse. Ok, here we go... Reasons why I like this mouse, the short version: 1. Stopped my thumb pain in days, I use the mouse with a wrist rest Staples mouse pad. 2. Like the texture and style 3. Took about 4 days to get used to 4. I have had this mouse for 11 months, still works perfectly fine 5. Great for the cost! Would definitely recommend! THE LONG VERSION: I looked at the top viewed 1 and 2 star ratings and the comments mainly mentioned: 1. Hate the material and it's or gets really sticky 2. Quit working after a short amount of time (2-4 months) 3. Tracking and scroll bar are jittery 4. Uncomfortable My good review vs. these bad reviews: 1. It's a plastic mouse. It will get sticky if your hands are sticky. I eat at my desk, I get dirty hands on my mouse, I use a basic Clorox wipe or even rag and water to clean this mouse. I have never noticed that I "hate the texture." 2. I have had my mouse for 11 months, it works fine. I have had to replace the batteries twice. I did notice a little battery acid leak so I did have to clean that out but it still works fine. 3. Ok, yes, I have noticed that my scroll function lags a tiny bit but this mouse is $25 people!!!! Honestly I just give the scroll a little extra... scroll. It has never bothered me. If you are a gamer or programmer and use your scroll function a lot it may bug you. I'm an administrative assistant, I do in depth internet searches, a lot of planning, printing and document editing. I have never been upset with jittering or noticeable lag. If I suspect a longer than normal lag, I change the batteries. Also, this mouse GOES TO SLEEP AUTOMATICALLY. You will have to push a button to wake it up. But, this helps with battery life (in my opinion). Plus I'm OCD, if I hated this mouse, I would tell you. 4. I had a regular "comes with the keyboard" horizontal mouse forever. I started noticing thumb pain after 12 years at a desk job, which is why I chose this mouse. I honestly have not had any pain since I switched to using this mouse and the "getting used to it" stage only took me about 2 days. You had will rest vertically, like you're shaking someone's hand. Try using with a mouse pad that has a wrist rest, to get your wrist up a little. Overall, love this mouse, would recommend, would buy again! Thanks for reading people! Read more

Good verticals mouse. Some are made more slippery where your hand slides off. This one is pretty grippy. Read more

Excellent ergonomic mouse

I’ve been using this mouse at work for two years and decided to buy one for my home office. They are comfortable and work well. Many similar mice use rechargeable batteries and when those go bad the mouse is junk. This uses AAA batteries and they are still going strong after two years; in my opinion the lack of a rechargeable battery is a benefit. Read more

A lot not to like about this mouse - It is just fair

T-RockAugust 25, 2014✓ Verified purchase

Just received my Adesso Vertical wireless mouse today. I bought it on Amazon website through the seller Framing Square. It arrived quicker than the estimate through USPS. So, I am not sure who to thank for that - the postal service or Framing Square. But it is nice to know a seller responds quickly to their orders. I also, want to point out a quick response time to my customer issue that I brought up with them. It was sold as new, but some things lead me to believe the package was previously opened and slightly used. The mouse pads had some scuffs, as if slid on a desk, slight scuffing on the edge of mouse, and no batteries included as the documentation states there should be and the Adesso website states also. I emailed the seller and they immediately responded with a nice email and options for a resolution. Kudos to Framing Square. I also want to mention that for some unknown reason Amazon has chose not to carry the wireless version of this mouse, but will carry the USB version. As for the mouse itself, I got the ergonomic vertical mouse to help with tension in my hand, wrist and forearm. Initially, it seems like it will help in the long run, although it seems like I feel some forearm tension. But only time will tell. If you are used to using a full size mouse then this will suit you. If you like a smaller mouse, as is commonly used by people with laptops for easy travel, then this will take some getting used to or may not be suited for you. I can't imagine using this as a travel mouse that you would stick inside a briefcase or computer bag. The buttons are more stiff to operate than I prefer. The profile of the mouse is higher than I would prefer. If I am typing and then go back to use the mouse, I almost always hit the top of the mouse. These two things I am not sure that I will ever get used to or like. The design could have been a lot lower profile and the buttons a lot smoother. Speaking of buttons, I do not like that the scroll button does not have a smooth fast scroll to it. The wheel uses the jerky, incremented scroll movement. Also, the forward and back button that are located on the thumb side near the top are difficult to use because of two things. The forward and back buttons are barely raised and they are completely black, which make them nearly impossible to see, as they blend in to the side. Both of these things make it very difficult to locate the buttons to use them. I might get used to the location later on through muscle memory, but it does make it difficult for now. In addition, the DPI button does not give you any idea as to what DPI setting you are on, which makes this not very useful. The front of the box indicates 800-1600 DPI and the back of the box and documentation indicate 1000/1500/2000 - doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence that I can rely on the DPI. Finally, the only reason I mention this is because it is so emphasized in the title of the product on Amazon - the word "illuminated." This is very deceptive in that it is not 'illuminated" on a continual basis, or on movement, or on click. The only time the mouse lights up is when you turn it on and when the battery is low, which makes it an indicator light and not an illuminated mouse. Interestingly enough, the Adesso website does not use "illuminated" in the product title. It barely even mentions this functionality. This aggravates me because I did buy this unit thinking that I would be getting an illuminated mouse. My fault, I should have researched a little better to make sure that the title wasn't deceptive. As for now, I can only give this mouse fair reviews, because I probably will be looking for something else in the future that I don't consider so clunky in it's operation. Read more

My favorite type of mouse

I love this mouse! I use it everyday for work and it’s the best. Because of the ergonomic shape my hand never cramps up and my wrist never starts to hurt. A regular computer mouse just can’t compete with this wonderful tool. Read more
