Expensive, but one "buy it for life" purchase for a superior humidifier with easier maintenance
Bought this as a means to buy a humidifier for life (BIFL) kind of mentality and couldn't be happier - 30 days in and it works like a beast. Seems super simple in terms of design and size for the price tag, but the fact that it doesn't use a wick, easy to maintain and quality it works great. It took about 14+ days to get our bedroom to a decent humidity in the dry winter here, but now is working pretty easily being that the tank is around 1 gallon - our dry winters eats up around 1 gallon of water a day so be on the ready to fill this one up. No question on design, durability and usability, but you may want to read the manual and do some maintenance here and there. Like it says, you will need to clean the wheels and the interior every now and then, but a simple soak in vinegar does it well. Only giving this 4 stars though because after 14 days, i started to get the click with rotating mechanism. Its intermitten but its an audible click that tells you to do a deeper clean - a cleaning much easier than scrubbing those typical ultrasonic humidifiers. Read more
