We have hard well water. Only had them in place for several days. So far, no white dust. If we get the full projected 45 days, less expensive than distilled water. Update: Run our humidifier 24/7 and fill the tank daily. No visible white dust after the recommended 45 days on anything in the room except my reading glasses, which I leave on a table about five feet from the humidifier. I guess that's a good way to keep track of when it's time to change the filter.☺. Hopefully, I'll be able to squeeze through the rest of the winter using the remaining filter. Read more

Fit My Taotronic Humid. Perfectlly but fail cleaning out deposits

2nd review: After giving a 5 star review based on the product fit, I discovered that this filter does not work. The humidifer is not removing calicum and now launching white dust and powder all over the furniture, tables, clothes, etc. The filter is clogged up and am unable to clean it. I don't believe any of the filters for water or humidifers work at removing the "stuff" that they claim in their descriptions. 1st Review: The company, Air Innovations, warned me that their product would not fit my Taotronics Humid., Model TT-AH001. Amazon CS felt it would fit and reminded me about returning the product if not. Well, it did fit so I am happy that I can now have spares and rotate filters keeping my unit clean. I'm glad I trusted Amazon CS. After giving a 5 star review based on the product fit, I discovered that this filter does not work.
