I got this pet air purifier because I have dogs and my spouse recently said some of our rooms and furniture smells like our dogs. This air purifier claims to clean 4000 sq ft, and it’s been working well keeping the air clean in my 3000 sq ft home, especially the downstairs half of the house where the purifier is running. After unboxing the unit, I had to open it to remove the plastic bag containing the 4-in-1 filter. There is a label on the back of the unit showing a lock and unlocked position. I twisted the upper half of the unit so the arrow was at unlocked the lifted it away from the bottom. The filter lifted out easily and went back in just as easily after removing the plastic bag. The 4-in-1 filter is pretty cool. I like that it has an outer wrapper that catches big stuff like hair and dust bunnies. It can be taken off and vacuumed clean then reused several times before needing to be replaced. The inner part of the filter is where the real magic happens, cleaning the air through HEPA 13 and carbon filters to remove tiny oder causing particles. The inner filter is recommended to be replaced about every 6 to 8 months, depending on your environment. Next, I read through the manual to see how to operate it. The manual talks about connecting to a mobile app called “PJrobot & Smart Life”. I tried searching for PJrobot, but couldn’t find any apps with that name. Come to find out, the app is actually named “SmartLife - SmartLiving”. I installed the app and then held the power button on the purifier for 3 seconds to activate the pairing mode. The SmartLife app found the PJ-11 quickly, but failed to pair the first time I tried it but succeeded on the second attempt. From the app, I can control all the functions of the air purifier including, setting timers, fan speed (9 levels), child lock, UV on or off, aromatherapy settings, and even brightness of the display. All these functions can also be controlled manually on the screen of the purifier. And speaking of aromatherapy, this feature is elegantly hidden on this air purifier. To access it, you have to pull up on the tabs connected to the cap of the unit. That cap is magnetically attached to the upper part of the purifier. Once the top is open, the center part twists out and holds a small bottle which can be filled with essential oils. Next, I can select how frequently and for how long it should release the fragrance. Overall, I’m highly satisfied with the product and would recommend it to other pet parents looking to reduce the pet smell and clean the air in the home. Read more

I have 3 dogs and don’t like for my house to smell like it. This filter has work well at getting odors, dander out. The addition of the essential oil bottle option is welcoming. Right now I added pine scent for the holidays, and it disperses around the room nicely. Just screw in the essential oil bottle at the removal top area. It’s not heavy and care is needed when you grab to move it. There is an app that you can use or just use the buttons. I am still working on the app, so using the buttons is my only option right now. It is quiet enough. It has definitely helped with sensitive visitors that are allergic to dogs. Read more

The media could not be loaded. This is a nice air purifier. It’s fairly quiet unless you use the aromatherapy option, then it makes a faint clicking sound while it’s dispensing the aroma. It isn’t loud, just more noticeable than without using it. Without the aroma part selected, it can run constantly in the background without much notice. This machine is definitely quieter than when our forced air heat or AC turns on. It was easy to unbox and set up, but you need to make sure you remove the plastic from around the filter. The manual is specific about using a vacuum cleaner to clean the dust and hair from the pre-filter, but you should regularly replace the pre-filter with a recommended replacement in an interval of 2 to 4 months. The filter should not be washed with water or in a washing machine. The filter itself should last 8 to 12 months, but when the filter life is less than 10%, you should order a new filter. I did a quick search on a filter for the Samrado PJ11 Air Purifier, and a two pack of replacement filters is currently $59.99. I doubt I will have to change my filter frequently because I currently have no pets and my daughter brings her cat for short period of time only. I merely wanted a good air purifier to take all of the dust and allergens out of the air. I have been using this air purifier for a couple of weeks, and I am happy its performance and the features like the aromatherapy infuser. The manual does contain helpful information, and the font is large enough to read. I think there could be a little bit more helpful information in the manual about the different settings it what they do/what you should expect from them. Although it can connect up to Alexa or Google home, I have not used those features. Air Purifier for Home Pets with Smart WiFi up to 4000Ft², H13 HEPA for Floating Pet Hair, Dander & Pet Odor, 7-Stage Filter, Electronic Aromatherapy Diffuse, 360° Wide Intake,22dB Ultra Quiet $199.99 at the time of this review Read more

I have 2 cats and a dog and really like this filter. It's not tiny by any means and can put out some serious air when it's on a high setting. I find leaving it in auto mode works best and once the air is "clean" it's pretty quiet. Haven't tried the aroma functionality but likely will. Have it in a fairly large bonus room and it is doing a good job. Given I'm actually allergic to dogs (what you do for your kids) it seems to have made a decent difference particularly in the smell department. We also sleep with it on without a problem being in the room adjacent to it. Take notice of the dimensions as, again, it's not small so you're not putting it on a little table, it will need to sit on the floor. Read more
