this product works very nice, and was easy to install. Read more
This faucet fit exactly as planned. It's only recently been installed and was simple to follow the instructions. The chrome is high quality and the stream of water is nice. I like the higher spout because it accommodates taller people or using the sink for other purposes. Great faucet for the cost. Read more
Easy installation, beautiful sturdy hardware Read more

I requested this faucet to replace the short and stubby original that came with a thirty-year-old manufactured home. This taller American Standard Becklow faucet is immensely more attractive, more usable, and substantial. The sink looks immeasurably better with the new faucet. The chrome finished parts are beautifully finished solid metal and feel heavy and solid. The hardest part of installation was removing the old faucet due to the tight clearances under the sink, the difficulty loosening the old fittings, and the general awkwardness of working inside a bathroom vanity. The new faucet comes with 3/8-inch female compression fittings to attach to your hot and cold supply lines. If your home already has valves with 3/8-inch male fittings, you will have no difficulty connecting this faucet. The manufactured home that I worked on came with obsolete crimped on 1/2-inch Qest fittings that I had to remove, then splice in a 1/2-inch PEX lines and install valves with a 3/8-inch male compression fittings. Once the old hardware was out it took about thirty minutes to install the new hardware. Everything worked perfectly the first time with no leaks. The only difficulty was that the instruction illustrations showed a slightly different faucet bracket than the one supplied and I was worried that I was missing a piece. However, the supplied bracket worked fine, and I am happy with the installation. Overall, this has been a worthwhile upgrade to an older home that took a non-plumber DIY type person about one afternoon to install (including the trip to the hardware store for parts). The installation of the bathroom faucet was remarkably straightforward. This is a significant improvement over my old one. The previous faucet had a persistent leak issue, which was quite frustrating. The new faucet is well-constructed with a sturdy metal build. Given the high cost of water in my area, I am genuinely appreciative that this faucet does not leak, saving both water and money. Furthermore, it enhances the aesthetics of my bathroom sink, blending in seamlessly. It has proven to be a reliable addition, consistently performing well during the month it has been in use. So far, I haven't encountered any issues with it. Read more
The media could not be loaded. It has a nice clean look to it and the water flows out smoothly. Was easy to install. I find that it's a little difficult to keep water spots off of the stainless finish but that could just be the soap we're using or something like that. But if you wipe it down periodically it still keeps up a nice appearance. We especially like that this faucet is taller than our previous builder-grade faucet so we aren't super cramped under the faucet while washing hands, etc. It came with a drain stopper but we had already purchased a different one and ended up like our alternate one better. The one that came with it was a little smaller. But if you don't want to purchase a separate one, it's nice that it's included. Read more
I am a tad disappointed with my current selection of American Standard’s (2) handle 8” powder room/lavatory/bath faucet, which sports a widespread design, and is a part of the Becklow collection. The basic design is attractive and the handles, which have a rectangular look, are very appealing to me. But my disappointment took place after I received this to review. It’s not based on the faucet’s handles, working functions, nor installation, rather the faucet itself. Although the rectangular handles, and their respective bases, appear a solid cast piece, the faucet does not appear to be a solid casted piece. Rather, the faucet appears to have been fabricated and put together from two (2) pieces. Therefore, there are two (2) seams that run the entire course of the faucet, from spray head to near its base. Complicating this, is that the two (2) pieces are not so perfectly fit together that it cannot be noticed; and debris collecting within. So, to me, the seams are prominent and there is no question, in my mind, that over time, this will be a collector of gunk [my toddler expectorates toothpaste everywhere]. Further in certain areas of the faucet, the seams have a big enough gap that my fingernail can ride the entire edge of the seam. I like easy to install contemporary and elegantly designed faucets, however, in my view, this made in China faucet “does not” have flawless manufacture, fit, nor finish. I really thought the faucet was a single cast piece. This slap together of plating is ”not” what I was expecting surrounding manufacture. The push to close and pop-up drain is novel and as far as I can tell, almost completely made of plastic. Finally, I question the brass used on the shanks for the handles and faucet, they are magnetic. Brass is not magnetic, so I do not know if this is steel that had brass plated or what? At least the faucet has a shank installation [as some others are a cheap, to me, thin rod]. Supply lines On each faucet handle there are two (2) supply lines. One of the two lines has an obvious bright stainless-steel finish, but I think it plated, as it was “not” magnetic, the other was more vinyl, flat in color, although rough feeling as though stainless. The faucet’s model number is 7429801.002. It stands at just over 6½” tall (measured from base to top of the faucet’s curve). The levers, which do have shanks, stand a shallow 3½” tall. The faucet provides an appropriate, for its location, 1.2GPM Laminar flow (i.e., constant water flow), which is perfect for the bathroom and saves us. This bathroom (lavatory) faucet does represent to being WaterSense certified, which means that it met the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s criteria for water efficiency. That’s a good thing. Other [European] faucets I have also meet the standard. [WaterSense labeled products perform as well as, or better, than less efficient competitors’ similar products. Europe is a leader in many of these areas, where North America seems to be playing catch-up.] But I will tell you “Where this really shines” and why I am impressed with this feature of the faucet is that it carries the NSF/ANSI/CAN 61: Q ≤ 1 standard listing, which means that the manufacturer made this to reduce the allowable amount of lead leached during product testing by five-fold. The previous allowable amount of Q ≤ 5 is now Q ≤ 1. [Testing determines what contaminants may migrate or leach from a product into drinking water. It also confirms if they are below the maximum levels allowed to be considered safe.] That is a significant plus in my opinion, thank you. This faucet sports a metal body and ceramic disc valve cartridges. I did “not” notice the seams in the listing, but they are obvious once the box was opened. I think the photos and/or listing description should not the faucet has a fabricated exterior finish rather than a cast solid piece with no seams. This is a very weak four (4) stars for me. I hope my thoughts added information. Read more
