As an artist, I might find this product easy to use. But given my skills, I do believe any regular person would be qualified to apply this product. I've used a similar product as this one in past years for a repair , but it did not come with 2 tubes of black plus the white. My black leatherette car seats have faded over the last 15 years so I really appreciated having a white to adjust the pigmentation as relative to my seats. The previous product used years ago did not hold up very well and it cracked around the edge of the damaged area which had to be removed. So I was left with a giant hole with only the foam showing. I had to insert 2 pieces of the backing fabric and slowly built up the layers of this product until the hole was more level with the remaining seat area. It took days to do this since I allowed each layer to dry thoroughly before applying a new layer. All in all Im pretty satisfied with the outcome and color match and hopefully the multiple layers of this product will outlast the previous product used 2 1/2 yrs ago. I will admit that there was another area will a small hole and slit and this product did a great job of concealing and fixing the damage. I also appeciate the easy clean up of paint from the enclosed supplies and my hands, using only alcohol and a paper towel. Read more

Purchased to repair a boot my dog had chewed. Surprised that it worked pretty well. The repair is not invisible, but that may have more to do with my application. Read more

This was easy to apply and looked pretty good, but after about 3 weeks my car seat was cracked again. Maybe if it had been on a different location it might not have cracked but I wouldn't recommend this for the part of your car seat where you sit. Read more

My son has a Guess faux leather jacket that he loves, but unfortunately due to wearing a backpack on one shoulder all the time, it had rubbed down to the cloth. The affected area was rather large and I wasn't sure if this product would work. I went over it twice, with 24 hours in between the applications. I also used black shoe polish after it was dry and then buffed it. When I handed it to him he asked me which side was the damaged one. So to me that was a good indication of success! If you look closely you can still see where the faux leather used to be but at a glance or from a distance there's no way you can tell. I really recommend this product. It was super easy to use and no mess. Thank you! Read more

Ok so I loved this! It looks a bit cheap, but the actual product is great! It has the consistency of acrylic paint when applying. I do not like the little plastic brush they supply, so I grabbed an old 1" paint brush used for acrylic paint for applying the product. I'll go step by step what I did, I also took pictures. 1: I identified everywhere I thought I needed product. 2: I peeled away any loose bits that were dangling or I thought may cause problems. 3: I started at the outer rim of where the vinyl had peeled off and squeezed the product exactly where I needed it. 4: I gently swept it toward the middle of the problem area. 5: I applied a generous amount in the middle and swept it outwards to meet my previous application. 6: I used my acrylic paint brush to lightly feather out the product around the outside to blend it out so I didn't have visible brush strokes all over the couch. When needing it for specific tiny holes made by the cat, I applied a small dot directly to the brush and squished it into the hole then feathered it out to blend. All in all, I'm impressed. Read more
