I picked up this digital alarm clock for my daughter, who has to be up at 6 AM for middle school, because her iPhone alarm just was not cutting it anymore. The large green numbers are very easy to see from across her room, even when I peek in from the hallway, and the front buttons along the bottom make sense once you glance at the included quick start card. Sitting on her white nightstand it has a clean, modern look that blends in nicely instead of screaming “tech gadget” in neon. Setting the time and alarm was straightforward using the labeled buttons for time set, alarm set, brightness, sound, and volume. I like that the brightness can be stepped down so the display is not blasting light at night, but it still stays readable when the room is darker. My daughter enjoys cycling through the different alarm sounds to find one that actually motivates her to get out of bed, and the volume range is generous enough that I am confident it will wake a heavy sleeper. The snooze bar along the top is easy to hit, which my daughter thinks is a feature and I consider a mixed blessing. The little instruction card shown in my photo turned out to be more useful than I expected, because it walks through the button order for both time and alarm settings in a very clear layout. The clock sits solidly on its stand and does not wobble when she taps the top, and the cord reaches comfortably to the outlet behind her nightstand. I appreciate that it offers battery backup for the time and alarm settings in case of a power outage, even though the screen itself does not stay lit on battery power alone. This has honestly been one of my favorite Amazon finds. At 50 years old, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, and I’m at the point where I need my glasses just to read most clocks. This is a decent little alarm clock, and I emphasize little. It’s significantly smaller than I thought it was gonna be, the face is about the size of my hand. It functions reasonably well, although with minimal features overall. It has five volume settings, five different alarm settings (that really only one or two I or something I would use personally). The speaker is loud but doesn’t sound very good (muffled) but it’s just an alarm so I guess thats ok. The RGB light is cool, you can either be a solid color or a flowing sort of rainbow that you can set the brightness of. The main clock area has five different brightness settings as well. You can do 24 hour time or 12 hour. Overall, it was easy enough to set up and I didn’t need the instructions to go through and get it set. It looks like I can’t take batteries, but I’ll just leave it plugged in. It’s also a USB outlet although I’m not sure if that is your power or something else. It included the 5 V barrel style USB adapter. While it feels a bit bare bones, it works and is a small form factor, the rgb light is all that really sets this apart from your generic alarm clock. This is a nice large display alarm clock, just as described. While we all have cell phones, it's nice to have a dedicated device. I actually like to use the clock at my work desk. The product includes a DC-plug to USB-A cable and a 5V USB adapter. You can also power with 2x AAA batteries. The USB plug on the back can be used to charge another device - a nice touch, but 5 volts isn't much nowadays. Another nice touch is the RGB (not pictured) which lights up the underneath of the clock. There are a number of buttons on the front of the clock and a snooze button on the top. I like that a 24-hour clock is an option, I can dim the display, and I can modify the alarm's sound and volume. It gets super loud - the lowest volume has worked fine for me. The snooze works as expected and pauses the alarm for approximately 9 minutes, which as far as I can tell is not adjustable. My only complaint might be that the alarm's on/off button is a bit small - the far right button on the clock face. I'm not a fan of the black and green. I would have preferred the silver and white version pictured on the product's box, but I did not see it as an option in the listing.
