My husband loves it! It makes hair cuts and beard trimming so much easier. It cuts really well and doesn’t skip over any spots, but be warned bc the level 2 setting isn’t an actual 2 cm like on other clippers, the guard doesn’t click up to 2 cm until level 6 or so, so just use caution so you don’t make yourself bald. But it is very precise, the size is easy to handle, and it has a great battery life. It’s also very quiet so it doesn’t scare my son during hair cuts. Just got it and used it once. Will follow up if impressions change. This trimmer set is well thought out and built. Comparing with the market standard Panasonic ER-GB42-K, this Kensen falls into a next-gen premium class currently at $5 less than P. With generic USB charging, it will travel smaller, charge faster, run longer, and work while charging if it comes to that. P makes you carry it's large proprietary wall charger. Perhaps, the big deal is that, with Kensan, you don't get a bottle of mineral oil for the blades and don't need it because of the better steel and advanced blade configuration they use. The sawtooth tips of upper and lower cutters on the Panasonic are aligned to create pinch points against any irregularities in your skin. The top cutter buzzes side to side in contact with skin. On the Kensan, the fixed lower teeth extend slightly past the top cutter to guard against "sawing" skin. Theoretically, that could mean it doesn't cut as close, but once the Panasonic starts sawing, you're not going be cutting close at all, anyway! Instead of oiling the blades, Kensan doesn't even want users to monkey around trying to wipe or dry them out. Just air dry after water rinsing - a clear expression of the confidence they place in their blade steel selection. One use so far, no nipped skin. We'll see how it goes. Read more

Beard trimmer itself works great, and works for trimming medium to short sized beards. However, the beard guard accessories are garbage, so it basically negates the purpose of the trimmer. They break very easily at the connecting point that locks in the guard to the trimmer - even when clicking in and removing them exactly how the instructions suggest (which aren't very clear to begin with). The company was gracious to send me a discount code for Amazon to get a new set altogether (since they did not have spare accessories to send). So I give Kenson credit for that, and the quality of the trimmer itself. But the new set they sent was just as defective with the beard guards. They broke upon first use. Do not buy this if you intend to use the guards. Update: Kensin reached out to offer a full refund for the inconvenience. I really do appreciate their customer service, and the trimmer itself. I just hope they upgrade their accessories and that the next model they develop attaches the guards from the side so that they just slide on and off with ease and don't break. Read more

This is a great trimmer. Has a lot of different adjustable lengths. The fact that it has USB-c charge port is amazing. I bought one for my father who lives in Europe and he didn’t have to worry about charging compatibility. The battery also lasts pretty long. I have used it for a month with a single charge.
