This is a desk fan, NOT a mini air conditioner. That said, it blows somewhat cooler air than a simple fan, which is fantastic at this price point. Its reasonably quiet at low speed, though fairly loud at high speed. As you would expect. There was no assembly, and setup was very easy. I seriously considered rating it only 4 stars, as it requires a lot of water while operating. It runs out of water in around 4 hours of continual use at the lowest level. This is a drawback. Another drawback is that it is very hard to see how much water remains, due to an odd design flaw. Despite these drawbacks it merits 5 stars because as a desk fan at this price point it is remarkably good. Read more

I am a true mid westerner. I sleep with a fan, and prefer something that drowns out the silence and crickets and coyotes! This fan is perfect, has an incredible hum, and blows like a true Michigan wind! Which is like, 35mph on a good day. I highly recommend this fan! It's small, smaller than my usual go to box fan, but this one can fit anywhere and doesn't overwhelm small spaces! It also tilts, so on a warm night it can aim exactly where you want it. I was unsure if I would like it, but it's turned out to be the best purchase. Also, very easy to clean! Read more

I really like this little fan/cooler. It is small, so truly just a desktop, small room unit. But it is very quiet on the lowest setting. I use it in my office (which seems to somehow be the hottest room in my house) and am able to have it on during Zoom meetings (medium microphone setting) without it disturbing the meeting. It blows directly on me, keeping my immediate area cool. Works for my specific purpose. I think it would also be good blowing on you while sleeping if needed. Read more

Works well for its price, however has a few issues. Most notably, the USB-C port is located directly underneath the port to fill the water tank, meaning if you happen to spill any water, it's likely to drip directly into the port. Also, the removable cooling pad is difficult to remove; it felt like the housing for it was about to snap. The cooling pad stays moist for a while, and the fan is decently quiet if not at max speed. It does work well in a warm, dry room. Just recommend you have a small funnel to refill the tank. Read more

Black & Decker 15.6-inch Floor Fan This fan has some notable design flaws and material issues that impact its performance and usability. The most significant problem is the hollow, lightweight base, which is the source of a persistent, low-frequency vibration. If the fan isn't set on a perfectly flat surface, the vibration is noticeably worse and creates a distracting noise. The on/off knob on the back is difficult to grip and turn. A more serious issue is the angle adjustment knobs, which consistently loosen on their own during operation. This causes the fan head to slowly tilt out of position, requiring frequent re-adjustments. The fan arrived with these tilt knobs off, and they were rolling around loose in the box. The overall build quality seems cheap due to the thin plastic materials and hallow base. The “modern styling” of the two-tone black and white color scheme is also a questionable design choice; a consistent single color would have been better. In summary, while the fan moves air and is surprisingly quiet on its lowest setting, its poor material quality and design flaws, especially the vibration and tilting head, make this a disappointing purchase. This BLACK+DECKER desktop air cooler has been a great addition to my workspace. It’s compact and lightweight, making it easy to move between my desk, bedroom, or anywhere I need a little extra cooling. The 3 fan speeds give good flexibility, and when the 0.5L water tank is filled, the evaporative cooling makes a noticeable difference on hot days. I like that it’s quiet enough for work or sleep, and the controls are simple to use. It doesn’t replace an AC unit, but for personal use in small spaces, it’s very effective. The design is sleek in white and gray, and it fits nicely without taking up much room. Overall, this is a practical, easy-to-use air cooler that delivers refreshing comfort where you need it. Highly recommend for a desk, bedside table, or small office space. Read more

Didn't want to go through the expense for a bathroom that doesn't have an exhaust vent. Placed this both ways, to push the hot air out or later pull the colder air in to cool the room. Works great and is pretty quiet. Quieter than the one we had installed for another bathroon. Read more
