The Boyata stand was a really nice surprise. I'd just gotten a string of three high-dollar items that were defective from Amazon (none of them from Boyata, it should be noted), so my expectations were low. Surprisingly, the stands are beautifully made, sturdy, extremely adjustable, and well-thought out. I liked mine so much that I bought a second one 24 hours after the first one. Aside from them working really well, here are some specific things that are worth noting that might help you decide on it. 1: The floor-print is much smaller than an ordinary laptop. The actual base of the stand, while not tiny, is a lot smaller than my 13 inch Macbook Pro--the space savings will increase as you go to 15 inch laptops and greater. Even though the laptop itself will be just as big as it was before you put it on a stand, valuable desk space is returned. 2: You can use the base for things. You could put a phone charger in there, for instance, or do what I did and put my speakers in the base. I've tried it with my Bose Soundlink Mini 2, with HomePod Minis (both work really well), and if you lift the stand way up, you can even fit a full-sized HomePod in there. But you could also store a USB-C/Thunderbolt dock in the base, or you could even put your coffee in there if you happen to have the stand up enough. The point is, it's a plain, perfectly level space you can put stuff on. 3: It's really sturdy. I'm a fairly paranoid person that worries if my expensive laptops or tablets will eventually fall off of something like this if it begins to sag, but you really have to force it to adjust. This will be annoying for smaller people to get set up, admittedly, but when you get it where you want it, you have total faith that it's going to stay there. You can even put your palms on it and type on it like you normally would and it won't budge. This is going to be especially valuable for those with big, heavy laptops. It'll hold them. 4: The highly skeletonized, open-air construction means you can place these in front of speakers with minimal effect too. 5: It folds quite flat and doesn't take up a ton of space. This would not be a bad thing to travel with to use at a hotel desk, for instance, for better ergonomics. 5: The only thing I don't like about it is how huge and prominent the Boyata logo is. I get that they made a great product and want to show off their trademark, but I'd prefer it either be a lot smaller or near the back. It breaks up some of the beauty of the stand. Anyway, this one's a very easy 5 out of 5 stars. Read more

I've been hesitant about getting laptop stand because of complaints I've seen online and heard from coworkers about instability, leading to the screen shaking. I'm a fairly aggressive typist so this was a major concern of mine. After a lot of delaying, I decided to give this stand a shot and I'm so glad I did! Some stands swivel, which is something I absolutely didn't want. I work on a dual 27" monitor display, with my 15" MacBook Pro as a third screen for apps I need less screen real estate for. I wanted something that would elevate my MBP screen even with the top of my other monitors while offering stability. This fits the bill perfectly! I no longer have to look side-to-side for my "primary" displays but then look down to see my laptop screen. To make things even nicer, the dual adjustment of this stand allowed me to elevate my laptop but also tilt it to the point of the keyboard/touchbar/trackpad are at about a 45 degree angle - much easier to access, and I find myself actually using the touchbar now instead of either programming hardware or seeking software solutions to create macros that do the same thing. The build quality has impressed me, and even with multiple hinges the stand is solid enough that I can tap the stand or even type on my laptop with no shaking. That said, it is really stiff to get into position, but by no means a struggle like I was expecting based on some other reviews and honestly that's to be expected if you want a really stable stand. Still, if you have a use case where you'd be adjusting the angle on a regular basis, this is something worth considering. The non-slide silicone areas are perfect, and I feel very confident in my machine staying put on the stand. My only complaint isn't actually to do with the stand. My displays are USB-C, and can't daisy chain. So to power them, each has to plug into its own port on my laptop. This connection keeps me from being able to pull my laptop forward far enough to have the screen perfectly flush with my display - not a problem at all since it's only set back about 2" and completely unblocked and visible. Just an observation that irritates my OCD tendencies a bit! All told, I'm thrilled with the stand and I've been kicking myself for not getting one sooner! If you're in the market, I know this is a touch pricier than similar models and I can't speak to the quality of them, but I can strongly recommend this one! Read more

Amazon Package: 5/5. Product Package: 3/5. Product itself: 5/5 This is my second laptop stand with this brand. The stand itself has a sturdy design and holds the weight of my laptop perfectly (15in). It is also super easy to use. The challenge was the Product Package, it arrived ripped on both sides. Read more

The manufacturing quality of these laptop stands is truly excellent. I've purchased THREE of them -just can't seem to get enough I guess -and not one of them had a single defect. The powder-coat is impeccable and makes them attractive and easy to clean. The three-bar mechanism for height adjustment is friction-bushing based and stays exactly where you set it. I also like the rubber strips on the laptop platform and underneath the base, which prevents your laptop (and stand) from sliding around -though it's still easy to grab and shift by hand. Additionally, the tabs/ears on the back of the stand allow it to be used as a book holder (while reading/studying), which is why I purchased it for a third time... it's dual or multi-purpose.
