This review will be in 2 parts. Order and delivery, because I was pleasantly surprised by the fast turnaround from ordering and, now, receiving after just two days. This was ordered late July 1st, and this is July 3rd. Therefore, thank you very much Amazon. Let's get down to business................ If anyone has had "cowboy" coffee, you know it's good and strong. But I don't live on the open plain and eat from a chuck wagon. The problem is there is way too much coffee waste for one person trying to figure out the right measure of coffee to water. Most times, it's the coffee that suffers. And for you non-cowboys out there, do not put the coffee grinds down the sink drain, not unless you want a big mess and an angry wife! So, here's the other kicker. I did some online investigation, which brought me to Good Housekeeping reviews, and this Braun was second overall in all the categories for performance, coffee taste, brewing, ease of operation, and much more. Now you know why I bought this machine. I've said this over and over again, sometimes you have to ignore the customer reviews and pay attention to the pros! And the price is a definite value. Well, that's the first half of this review. Next, unbox, read the instructions (I'm a huge fan of this), for tips and tricks and to stay away from, "Oh no!" Or "Oh s***! Trust me, I am tired of wasting my coffee. I enjoy cowboy cooking but this urban man needs to control expenses, but not at the expense of taste. This review will continue.....................see ya next time soon. Coffee, homemade bread, hot pepper jelly, and the 4th! This is the final stage........that first mug of coffee. Following the directions for a regular mug of coffee and waiting for the tone, the coffee was hot. I added my creamer, and oh, what a great-tasting coffee. There are many coffee maker brands from inexpensive to high-end, but paying $70 for a Braun, which was recommended by Good Housekeeping review, is a winner. Kitchen appliances are an investment; why not make a good one? Now, back to my great-tasting coffee. July 22, 2025..........I have a post script to this review.................... Regardless of what brand of coffee you use, all coffee has an oil that will leave a residue on the the craffe, the gold basket, even the plastic on or near the coffee when brewing. It is important to wash those that come in direct contact with the grounds with a dish detergent, and to wipe down those that are in indirect contact to keep the scale and "oil steam" clean. This ensures a great cup of coffee every time. And keeps your machine operating properly! Read more

Great coffee maker for everyday use. Carafe does not drip. Sneak a cup feature is best I have had. Doesn’t let any drop fall out and hit the warming plate. Programming was non intuitive but works well when I laid the instructions out next to the machine and followed them carefully. Fortunately I shouldn’t have to do that often. Easy to remove grounds when brewing is finished without getting your fingers steamed. Loaded with features and they all work well. Very happy with the purchase. Read more

In the past, the last two Braun's we owned were Brew Sense and have always been pleased with the taste of each brew from this model. In looking for a replacement, I did note that we never used all the selections for brewing coffee. We never felt the need to change how it brewed coffee as it always tasted good at the initial setting. Therefore, I thought this one would be fine since as we never feel the need to make changes. I was surprised at how much taller this one is to the Brew Sense model and it makes 14 cups versus 12 which I did not notice when looking into. I was a little leery about setup from reading reviews and left that part up to my husband who stated it was not an issue. He followed directions, put in water filter, ran a full carafe of cold water, and in the morning we enjoyed a flavorful cup of hot coffee. My husband said the coffeemaker beeped when coffee had finished brewing which was never a feature of Brew Sense. Braun has always been a favorite brand as we can always depend on it to provide a great cup of coffee. Update 7/16/24: Well I am sorry to report that this is leaking at the top down to the warming plate. This is very disappointing as I have had several Braun's and never had this issue. So a new coffee pot has been order to replace. Purchased in September 2023. Read more

This coffee machine has been working fine, except for occasionally leaking at the beginning of brewing. However, it stopped working suddenly after 18 months, like the one before, with a code E1, meaning need to call their customer service. I would NOT recommend it given its lifespan got shorter and shorter Read more

This is my second time ordering this coffee maker. I love that it’s 14 cups. Just make sure you clean it every could months so it will last. I got lazy and that’s why I had to get a new one. Read more

I personally really like this coffee pot! I've had another brand that looks exactly like this one, but didn't last over 5 years. I do hope this one lasts much longer. I LOVE the look, black and stainless steel is my look for all my kitchen ware and most utensils. I will say, it is quiet noisy when the brew cycle is completed, which doesn't bother me, it tells me it's almost done brewing, then I hear the chime sound. I would highly recommend this coffee pot if you can get over the grunting sound when it's done. Read more

while this coffee maker makes a good cup of coffee... you need a PHD to figure it out how to work it.... and it crapped out after only, not even, 6 months... well 1 outta 3 ain't good... Taste is good... nice hot cup... but a coffee maker should definitely last longer than 5, not even 6 months! I will contact customer support, but they are only open Monday to Friday... and who the heck is going to wait for their answer and do without coffee till they resolve the issue... NOT ME! Read more
