I've had a couple of these and they are bullet proof. Perfect coffee, consistently. Any way you like it, this machine delivers. proper maintenance is essential on all of these type of semi autos. Love the timer that starts it up so I can get right to coffee in the am. I've tried half dozen machines, this one is the best. Read more

So excited yet so nervous lol. It will Be ok Starbucks is down the street they said. Oh my goodness this is super easy! Thought for sure I was going to need a laminate cheat sheet and start two hours before I wanted coffee. Heck no you can do this. Get your beans figured out and set dials and just repeat! Get yours self a green apron and call yourself a badass. You can soooo do this. Most importantly… it looks amazing even before the amazing aroma fills the air. Thanks Breville for an amazing awesome espresso maker that makes me feel like a barista in my own home with slippers still on! Read more

I am getting into espresso making at home and wanted a machine that offered a lot of versatility. The Dual Boiler was a perfect middle ground between a fully manual (and very expensive) dual boiler espresso machine and a semi-automatic (or fully automatic) machine. This model is basically a manual espresso machine with dual boilers and automatic control over the temperature, pressure, and shot duration (all customizable). That leaves the grinding, dosing, and puck prep to me, the user which is just want I wanted. The price on the set (Dual Boiler + Grinder) was actually LESS than the cost of the Dual Boiler alone. Could not pass that up! While the grinder is not the best, it's definitely usable until I can afford a better one. Read more
Bought this to replace my 4 year old Barista Touch and had it shipped all the way to Kenya where we’ve got some of the best coffee. The difference is like night and day. Excellent espresso extraction and milk steaming. My coffee bar is complete. Read more

Finally got my Breville Dual Boiler Espresso Machine dialed in to pull cafe quality shots. Using my Mignon Specialita Espresso Grinder, set for fine grind, a Lucca distributor tool, and Breville’s calibrated tamper, the shots are delicious and pretty consistent. Also added a bottomless or naked portafilter to diagnose where to focus attention. Achieving beautiful crema in double wall glass espresso cups from Bodum. The Breville grinder is very good, but the Mignon is more capable and suited for espresso. This setup will last for years and satisfy my needs without spending 2-3 times more for a handmade Italian or German machine like a Rocket, ECM, Rancilio, Gaggia or Bezerra. They are beautiful pieces of kit, but probably more than I need for my intermediate skill level and affordability. Features like wheels to reposition the machine, compartment for stowing tools, nice cup warmer, easy top access to fill water reservoir made this a great choice for me. The machine is easy to use in manual or semi-auto mode. Great pressure for simultaneously steaming and frothing milk thanks to the dedicated separate boilers. For a home prosumer machine, Breville’s Dual Boiler checks all the boxes with very few compromises. The vibration pump versus a rotary design is not a significant drawback. It takes about 15-20 minutes to reach temp of 200-203 degrees F. I am very satisfied with my purchase and recommend it for intermediate skill level home baristas. Read more
Takes a few minutes to get it to 200’ but once it gets there it HOT!!! Worth the wait with having capacity to make coffee and froth at same time, it makes up for the wait. Read more
