Brite Vegan Shampoo Color Adds a Pop of Color to Light Blonde or Grey Hair Nourishing Formula that

I ordered the Brite Vegan Shampoo Color, Light Blonde or Grey Hair (10 Fl Oz). The product comes in a pretty lavender bottle marked made in PRC, the People's Republic of China. The shampoo is thick and dark purple. It did not stain my hands, shower curtain or shower walls. I lathered and then left the shampoo on for about 7 minutes. This did a great job at toning down my brassiness but just started to leave a purple tinge on my hair. See photo. I dont mind if my hair is purple but if that would be bothersome to you, Id suggest starting at two minutes rest and then building up a minute at a time until you find the point at which your hair starts to get dyed. For the record, if you go too far and need to get the color out a clarifying shampoo will usually strip my hair that is lightly dyed with a purple product back to blonde. My hair is damaged enough that I alway need to use a conditioner so I cant really comment on how soft just this shampoo would leave my hair. I can say that my hair was not more frizzy than usual after drying so it is at least as moisturizing as my regular shampoo. Just under $15 for 10 ounces of shampoo is a fair value. This is a nice product but it feels like it’s having a bit of an identity crisis and trying to be too many things. It’s a conditioner, a toner, AND a purple dye (for very light blonde/gray hair). It does indeed do all of these things but in a way that seems like it’s sort of a jack of all trades, master of none. My daughter, mom and I have all tried this out in each type of application. We have medium blonde, light blonde with gray, and brown hair, respectively, and my daughter and I have thin hair but a ton of it. My mom’s was thinning after some medical issues but is filling back out. As a conditioner it worked well for all of us, but was pretty on par with other conditioners we use regularly. Nothing special but nothing offense. It smells good and detangles. As a toner it did get some brassy tones out of my daughter’s medium blonde hair but it’s so faint that the results were pretty mild. It may work better on lighter hair but I can’t imagine that hair gets significantly lighter while still having brassy tones unless it’s just a bad dye job or something. I guess it’s important to note that this may behave differently on dyed hair than not dyed. It didn’t do anything for my (natural) brown hair. As a color deposit, it didn’t do anything for me or my daughter’s hair (much to her dismay!) but the small area we tested on my mom’s hair did take the color. It’s very faint and the gray hairs were sort of hit or miss on absorbing the color but it seems like it would work best on gray or very very light blonde hair. She didn’t really want to be a purple haired grandma so we couldn’t try out her whole head :) Overall I think this is worth a shot if you think it may work for your hair to do any of the three things advertised. At a current price of $15 for 10 ounces it is a good value even as a basic conditioner and even matter if you need to gently tone or make your gray hair hip. Read more

I am taking off one star because the pump is absolute garbage. It came broken in half so I had to put it back in the hole and every time I pumped, it would squirt everywhere from the inside and make a mess everywhere. SO you lost a ton of product that way. I would suggest turning it into a tube instead of pump. Second, I am not new to coloring my hair pastel and often use the Viral color deposits so I am familiar with color deposits. I tried this the first time with my dry hair and left it on for 45 minutes and when I washed, no color deposited. Ming you, I am pale blonde. It took three tries to finally get my hair a strawberry blonde but that was after three showers. It goes on hot neon pink, but the deposit is just not there unless you do it over and over. Which it does say on the bottle, but by then youre half way done with the bottle and I have shoulder length hair. It also fries my hair and makes it so dry, but luckily I have a lot of bonding conditioners and oils. If you dont, this will absolutely fry your hair. I dont see the value in this yet but it has potential. Read more

I am so glad I ordered this Brite purple shampoo. It is richly pigmented and has a thick formula that is easy to apply and doesn't just slide out of hair like similar products I've tried. I have light blonde hair and I appreciate that this product helps neutralize the yellow tones but also brightens and conditions. My hair feels clean and moisturized after using. It is easy to apply and rinses away as expected. I appreciate that this high quality product also comes from a cruelty free company. This is a large bottle and will last me at least a month or two using once a week. I think this is a great value at the price at the time I ordered and I will definitely buy again. Read more

So I love that this bottle is vegan and the ingredients in it. I think the bottle is aesthetically pleasing and I like that it's a pump and easy to dispense. I do find the directions a little complicated it's more than just you know washing your hair with a shampoo It does take time and it is a slow build which I'm fine with but it's just takes a little longer than you would think. And by longer I mean you know putting it in your hair and going through the process not within days but in like the time it takes to do it each day. But it does give the result I want I want something that is slow I don't want to drastic change. And I was unsure with my hair color some parts of my hair are later than others I have that like highlighted look and it does make the lighter parts of my hair more pink which I really like that pink hue and like the slow build up so it's not drastic. So if you have the time to dedicate to doing this daily or frequently. Or doing it the direction suggest and one day doing it a little longer it definitely works. And I do feel like it's gentle on my hair which I appreciate. So I like the color I like that it's gradual I like that it's gentle overall I like it It's just again a little more work than I thought and that's okay But it's just good to know going in. Read more
