This is a very robust tripod at a very nice price. While I wouldn't want to hike long distances with it, for its size and stability, the weight is very manageable. The carrying case with which it comes is also nice. That said, buy it with the bowl adapter. After my purchase, I realized the added value of this accessory. I would have saved myself $20 if I had purchased them together. The only quibble I have is that you have to buy the camo version to get the carrying strap. I would like to see the various accessories available in all three color schemes. Read more

I love the mount. I don't love that I couldn't find any instructions, either with the package or on the manufacturer 's web site. It is NOT intuitive that to set the angle of the legs, you have to pull outward on the plates at the top of the legs. It is NOT intuitive that to unscrew the hook from the puck, you have to loosen a separate grub screw which prevents it from turning. I was lucky I was only using soft jaw pliers to help try and turn it when I had a vague memory of it being mentioned in a product review and looked for it. It is NOT obvious that the two grub screws in the puck are to prevent whatever you have screwed onto the puck (in my case a strainwave telescope mount) from unscrewing itself while slewing in azimuth and come crashing to the ground. The system is brilliant and a welcome relief from a worry I had, but NOT obvious. This a fantastic tripod. Light, strong, steady. It works well with my Sky-Watcher Wave 100i telescope mount. But the manufacturer's lack of readily accessible documentation is NOT fantastic. Read more

Awesome tripod. Did I mention it was awesome? Heavy duty, light weight, but the best feature which is why I bought it is because I can mount anything to it. Other tripods in this same category has fixed mounts for only one thing to be mounted. Read more

Okay, let's get this out of the way first: this thing is expensive! But in this case, you definitely get what you pay for. Everything about it oozes quality-- all handles and controls are buttery smooth, joints lock well, and when set up, it feels super sturdy. I don't doubt that it can hold every ounce that it claims, that's for sure. It has no problem whatsoever holding up about 40 pounds of telescope and mount without even a hint of flex. If I had one criticism, it would be that it doesn't come with some kind of spreader. Something to keep the legs spaced out and keep anything from shifting would really make this a complete package. Instead, I used a 3d printer to make one and modified the aluminum insert to have the thread I needed, and it now works incredibly well. Oh, and did I mention how light it is?? It feels as sturdy as the two inch steel tripod I had been using, but is literally a quarter as heavy. All in all, if you can stomach the cost, I think it's a great heavy duty option. Read more

Bought for PRS rifle use. I had low expectations for this based on price. I was looking at $600-$1000 tripods when I asked a precision rifle guru about this one. He said it was the same as the 2vets Mike Mike tripod and told me it was a great value. I bought a used like new one for $75 less than new. I’m 6’4” and was concerned this one wouldn’t be tall enough. Impressions: It’s tall enough for even my straight through spotting scope. It’s big and beefy with 40mm legs yet fairly light. Very stable. The leg extension mechanisms are so very smooth to operate. I’m extremely pleased with this tripod. The massive 54mm ball head I bought on Amazon to mate to this is the Neewer brand with a 77lb max load. Read more

Very impressed by the Innorel tripod and accessory extension column. Seems very well made, stable, and heftier than I imagined it would be based on its weight, so think I'm going to get a lot of use out of it in the days and years ahead! Read more
